Question Metal Pool Frame/ Two Dyers and One Washer help.....

    Hello Fellow Scrappers,

I have a couple pick ups to do tomorrow and one is a Metal Pool Frame.

I am assuming the metal is aluminum and was wondering if anyone has experience scrapping a whole one and the amount of money they received for doing so....
Aluminum is about 0.35 per pound here..... and I know I don't know the exact weight just yet.

I am also getting Two Gas Dryers and One Washer.
I get about $200/Ton for scrap metal here and with an estimated weight of about 165lbs for each, maybe around $50 for those?
(Also, how much copper do you think I can retrieve out of all three?)

    Thanks,
    TS

Some pool frames are steel. It might be aluminum, but make sure you do a magnet test. As for the dryers, gas ones have a large motor, some wiring, and some brass.
There's nothing more fun and more effective than hitting something repeatedly with a sledgehammer

Jeez, I'd hope you're able to get more than 35 cents for Aluminum, it's worth 60 most places right now

Hopefully you can get the motor and pump with the pool. If the motor works they are worth a good buck. Plus of course the scrap value.
