    BX Cables/Wire

    Hello there,

    New to this forum.

I just got some BX cable from work.

Just wondering what this can be scrapped under.

It would not be insulation #2? would it?

Further, is it worth stripping the steel off of the bx cable and selling it as aluminum/steel for .60 cents a pound. and the rest under insulation copper?

I recently scrapped 25lbs of it, and received $1.86/lb - so I was happy, considering I found it in a barn.

Depends what price you put on your time. Somedays when I'm just sitting there doing nothing I will start breaking things down. Tough to make much picking up pennies, but when you start finding dimes and nickels it just might be worth it.
