I have been saving them in a large mason jar that is almost full. What do you guys do with them? can they be sold a shred?

    Thanks!

If it sticks to a magnet it can go into the shred pile , might want to try and find someone who could use them and make a little more than shred price . Depending on the size you may find a carpenter or handyman that would be interested in them . Maybe throw a pic of the jar on Craigslist and see what happens . You can always shred them later . Good luck !

I keep mine in a container - when it's full I'll sell em on ebay by the pound.

Weed out the stainless steel ones with a magnet and the rest goes into the shred pile, but I always find a washer or dryer to dump them in so their not all over the ground.

By me thy can go in with the prepared steel a little bit more than shred... I should save them but never do and when I need a screw or bolt I look thru the bucket that is heading to the scrap yard and normally find something I can use...

Unless they're non ferrous I just put them in a microwave shell or bucket or something and throw them in with the rest of the light iron.

same here with ebay. laptop hard drive and other alu or stainless go for $3-5lb on ebay which if you separate into cat. for brands and models you can sell sets for the same price or more for just a few screws. also bolts good wire connectors and those things as well can sell really well in bulk. most screws from the random everythings I put into coffee cans and other metal things and toss as shred and then alu I save in milk jugs. about every two months or so I take in a truck load of nothing but screws and they always get a kick out of the weight because it looks so small in the back
