    I was told "in general, anything you can hold in one hand, and bend it, is 'lightgauge' (shred) "

    But last week I was given 10 broken paper shredders.....

    I took one apart to find that its got a stripped gear, so I expect most of them have something like that.
    Though I think a 'brushed' electric motor connected to a gearbox must have a potential use, being 'brushed' they can be conne ted to a circuit so you can change their speed. =$$
    The shredder teeth are on a long hexagonal rod, potential home workshop use there = more $$

    But the shredder teeth? Being high carbon steel, what would they do to a shredder?
    Should they do as shred or should I put them in a compressor case and weld it shut for 'heavy metal insize' price?
