A skill saw would also work. Personally I would use my chain saw, it would make a bigger mess. Seriously, wear long sleeve shirt, gloves, etc. Fiberglass in the pours of the skin is irritating. If you get it on your skin, take a cold shower. Hot water opens the pours allowing the fiberglass to work deeper. Cold water closes the pours. Good luck.
