Question Need Some Help Identifying These Boards and Value

I have numerous boards and e-scrap I'm not able to really identify, much less spot the value. I was hoping some good folks on here might be able to tell me what I have and the possible value of such items. Perhaps even suggest the best buyer from the buy and sell forum.

And just to keep the confusion level down, please preface your specific answer with the post number/pic number from top to bottom. Like the one below would be item 1/01. Thank you, guys.

Oh wow, that took a minute.

I know its a lot. I've been looking and browsing though past topics in the numerous forums and have had some of the questions answered. On some of them I just need confirmation and clarification. I also need recommended buyers that preferably pay the most for the items I do have, and ones with good reps and are well known on here. No one wants to deal with a rip off artist. Any and all help/ideas/suggestions are greatly appreciated. If need be, I can get more photos of different angles and sides, and answer any other questions you might have.

Much thanks to all ya'll for the info I've already gleaned from you, and that which I have yet to learn.

You'll probly want to drop back and punt man, there's not any way my connection would ever load that many photos. I've seen posts with numerous pictures that got replies, but anything over maybe half a dozen photos is asking a bit much. You could spread it out over time and get your answers. Good luck man

You need to read... alot. Asking about a part here and there is not a problem and most times will get you an answer, but what you are asking all the answers can be found in stickies at the top of the electronics recycling section. Most if not all the parts you can fond a picture and description. As far as a buyer visit the buyers section as there are a few in your neck of the woods.

Conduit couplers are often times "Pot Metal/Zinc" and pay .30ish a pound. Magnet won't stick...galvanized is shred.

Go to the electronics section of the forum and read all the sticky threads. These will answer many of your questions and more importantly asnswer many of your unasked questions.

Heat sinks that are Al and not clean, you have not removed all the non Al material from them, sell as some form of "dirty Al. The heat sinks that are cleaned of all material not Al sell at one of your yards Al prices. My yard has only one grade of clean Al which has stayed at $0.50/pd for the past couple years.

Brown boards are considered low grade and it depends on many factors what some people do with them. I knock off easy to get to motors, AKA CBM(copper bearing material), toss the rest in with the shred. It depends on what your yard pays and what your time is worth.

You need to do a lot more reading on this forum. I know there is a lot to read but it will make you more money if you take the time to get your education. Mike.

You're using a great photo host there, at least the pics are good without taking ten MB to show it, and the site doesn't spend all day loading so much other crap till it forgets to load the photo ; )

The last photo looks like a "Gates polychain" sprocket. (or maybe a competing brand) It should be imprinted on the side of the sprocket...as well as the size of the belt, which will be 8M or 14M or something like that, and the number of teeth. They are pricey items and can be sold on eBay.

    Good luck!

    Jon.

    Holland..

First pic/post - Old school LNBs. New ones got gold plating on one side, an gold on the front an other PM's. The rest..as others said, best get to reading or using the old search box at the top an seeing if anyone has posted up similar things over the years. You will find the answers to the cell phones, an other stuff. I'd pop open one of those old cells just so you can see whats in one, an decide if you wish to sell them whole, as boards only, an where to sell your batteries to. If you use the search box an search for DirectTV, Dtv, etc you'll pull up threads with more info. I know you'll at lest pull up one with pics..as I posted it. LOL.

Either way good luck, an get to reading!

Couple of additions to the above answers. See uf there is a low grade buyer in you area. I have to drive about 45 min for mine but I just save it up. .20 a pound and I drive only becuase I sell other items to him...like lcd screens.

On the low grade...depending on you time for your money you like to make...clips all wire, pull copper bearing stuff with channel locks (I just sell that way as the upside to remove wire doesnt work for me), grab ic chips with occillating tool, pop those transformers off and sell at copper bearing, and if tou want to get into it, tantalum on boards.
