    game time,to shred or not to shred

    going through the pile yesterday and coming across so questionable things to throw in the shred pile so im going to say an object and you tell me shred or no shred,sched 40 iron pipe,car rims,steel boiler{home heating},12 ga.oil tanks and as the snow melts i will find more things im sure of it

    No to all. NOTE: 12(?) gal oil tanks?

    Never mind the "note". I looked it up. Just had never heard of such a small oil tank. Still "no".

    ga= gauge =thickness thats how it is rated on the tank 12 gauge steel ,so thats no to all ,so that would be called what ?number 1 steel?

    I cut oil tanks in half (required by the scrap yard) and use them to put small stuff in. Mine are 55 gal drums, though.

    Measure with a ruler or tape measurer. HMS is at 1/4" thickness or more
