I have been finding alot of tread mills should I take the motors off of them or leave them on for weight.

I ran across 1 tread mill. I broke it down to save space. I ended up having 2 motors on the one I got. One motor was fairly heavy and I want to say that total weigh in was about 40 pounds or so. Turning in as motors vs. leaving it on landed me an extra $2.00. Not much extra, but I enjoy the destruction of items to see what makes them work.

I always pull motors on the treadmills I pick up. The yard I go to pays 23 cents a pound for electric motors, and for metal shred only 7 cents. I figure its worth the extra 16 cents a pound for me.
