I don't know what board they came off of, but from appearances they pop off in the very same way as any other add on, RAM, or finger board, which would never be left on. Bear, the I960 shown in the 1st picture (top left hand corner) of this thread by OP is not a ceramic I960 and it is soldered to the board and should be left on the board to retain the boards value. The ceramic I960 that I am showing in my picture is a ceramic I960 and should be removed and sold seperately from the board. Hope this helps.
