Question on petium processors and cpu's

Ok don't shot me for asking this question but I have looked all morning on finding info about this question and no such luck. So here it is. Is it better to remove the cpu from the slot processor or leave it intacted and sell it as is? If it is better to remove the cpu, how do you do it?? I removed the heat sink and casing and now this is what I have and not sure how to further break it down.

Just take the plastic off and thats it. Ewaste buyers usually ask that you do that. Your picture is exactly how i have mine and I throw the plastic away and keep the CPU.

Plastic goes in the plastic bin. All my recyclers around here buy plastic at 1-4 cents per pound. Don't forget part of the case is aluminum! But I don't seperate, just sell as is.

When I buy those I recommend to put it with your other high grade processors. That is as far as you need to go. As for the plastics unless you are willing to keep a lot of it around and you have the room you can get alot more than 2-3 cents a lb. Most people dont have that kind of room.

I make multiple trips a week just to keep my space clean and plastic goes everytime. May not be best deal, but keeps it out of the trash.

Imyourgirl; I think he was talking about saving up about 30,000 to 40,000 lbs.
