Would this be worth it to buy this guys scrap?

Okay some guy texted me asking if I would buy scrap, Now he said he lived in a town 10 or 12 miles away from me. This is what he had and what he stated "I have 4 or 5 big bags of Crushed Cans, a couple car batteries, the guts from 4 Catalytic Converters, some aluminum Siding, and some Scrap steel."

He wanted 50 bucks for it. As I was unsure as I have never bought scrap before, I told him the best I could offer ya right now is 25 bucks, reason being I had no idea about it and I wanted to ask you guys about it. Would his 50 bucks be worth it? If not how much would you guys offer him? This is my first time buying scrap so I am really not sure about this.

Be VERY careful with those catalytic converters unless you are familiar with them they can be worth $2 or $200.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

Alum. cans went down to .52 lb here and I usually pay $4.00 each for car/truck batteries. If their black trashbags you might get 10-15 lb of cans per bag, Cat guts you cannot know what you have there. Hope this helps.

take your trailer and 5 - $10 bills, and go see, you might come home empty, you might get a full load, or who knows, until you've been there and seen it (yeah, guts? who guts cats before selling ?)

NO DON"T DO IT!! Sounds fishy to me. Why would he sell to you insted of a scrap yard? The cats (guts) is a red flag to me. I think the new laws in florida you have to show proof of ownership for cats. Plus 50.00 is way to high, I wouldn't even pay 25.00 maybe 15.00
