    Another question

I was short for the week so i decided i might try to scrap something for a couple extra bucks and i found a big frame with a bunch of wires and other stuff still attached to it
I have no idea what to look for, other than the copper wires which I know mostly where they're at - but anything else worth stripping down and selling by it self? - even 5 bucks profit would be worth it for me, all things considered i do enjoy hitting things with hammers

It kinda looks like the bottom part of an older big screen tv. About the only things worth anything is of course the #1-wiring.
#2- transformers, like where the big red wire is attached, also in first pic off to the left.
#3 - any chokes or coils of decent size will be wire wound.
#4 - Any alum. heatsinks that transistors are screwed to .
If there's any speakers left, jerk them out and throw in a bucket for selling as scrap, or if you need a magnet, knock one off the speaker to use. Here, this might help some; http://www.scrapmetalforum.com/elect...ification.html

Make sure you have a magnet on hand to help you identify metals. Mike

That looks to me like a projection tv, there should be three lens in a cast aluminum housing, be careful if you take them apart, they are filled with oil.

I second the careful with the lens. You don't want that oil all over, it's a pain to clean up. Bleh.

Sirscrapalot - Learned the hard way about oil in projection tvs.
