    white copper

    hey guys & gals,
has anyone heard of white copper wiring? I have found some bright silver colored wire that was in a cloth casing and was told that it might be white copper(?).

I've found some pieces lately I'm sure were copper, but they're white through and through. I know nothing of white copper, but recall a serious scrapper neighbor once talking about the bar in some breaker boxes being white copper, and said it was worth more. That is actually the first and only time I've ever heard mention of white copper

Ive always heard that its tinned copper. Its copper2, just make sure its not aluminum wire. Scratch it and see what color its on the inside. if its all silver on the outside and in, its aluminum wire
