And to cut i need to buy regulators.. more money out of pocket. I know if i wait long enough i will come into some:D
I am thinking of calling the scrap yard to come get it. I called second street and the lady said it would be unprepared, I dont agree with it but i bet i will get more than 150 a ton.
Only thing is i bet they will want the fluids drained. Might be a pain to do but worth the time definitely.
Im thinking get a hand pump and drain the hydraulic resevoir, then check the gas tank and puncture it with a drain pan underneath. For the water container i will puncture it
Also there is no time period that this needs to be out, so while i want to get it done, i dont have to do it ASAP.
Here I'm getting $214 a ton. A difference of Around $325. How much is YOUR TIME worth, and how much in consumable supplies will you use? Could you effectively scout out even 1 more haul like this, in the time it'd take to cut it up?
I wouldn't cut it up unless I had to, my yard would take it whole and pay car price $240 a ton but I would have to drain the fluids and then would have to get rid of them. If it was me I would still call the guy with the flat bed and sell it for $150 a ton. No invesment, no work, fast cash. Just my .02
i do elgins all the time average is about 12,500 over scales i drag them on the trauiler and pull in with the dually they really aren"t that hard
for the record the water manifolds and brush assemblies are worth quite a bit of coin in good shape
