Here is your BSDM moment (because seeing these prices, you gotta love pain!)

Shred: CDN 150 / mt or USD 106 / ton (surprisingly stable)
    Copper #2: CDN 2.71 / lbs (from 3.51 / lbs)
    Yellow brass: CDN 1.55 to 1.60 / lbs (from 2.00+ / lbs)
Ext. Aluminum: CDN 0.54 / lbs (from 1.00 / lbs)
Stainless Steel: CDN 0.32 / lbs (now the same as Alu. Cast!!!)

    Gasoline back at CDN 2.059 / L or USD 6.00 / gallon
NEW TO SCRAPPING? READ THIS: Build up your horde of magnetic and non-magnetic metals in two piles until you have a better understanding of the business. Magnetic material has low value and is mostly always steel / shred / short iron. Read old threads about non-magnetic metals and ewaste (and how to sort them), but don't forget that they generally have absolutely no tolerance for contamination (screw / iron / foreign material).

One yard i use, SS is at .25/lb and their other location down in Kankakee is at .20/lb.

I also wouldnt be surprised if in 2 months steel is at 0 and copper is around 1.00 /1.50 lb.

I had a load of copper I picked from a neighbor and a load of copper from a yard sale. Also have to add a 18 ox silver platter...
