    I checked copper prices today and #1 copper was $1.42 lb. I can wait.

    Are you sure they didnt quote you on #1 ins wire instead? were still over $3/lb for #1 Copper here

    Ran in a huge load of power cords/ extension cords the other day. I cant post pics with my phone but i did make a video of the load.

    Best prices in Eastern / Central Maine:

    #2 copper: $ 2.80
    yellow brass: $ 1.90
    cu/al radiators: $ 1.45
    clean al: $.35
    Xmas lights: $.10
    #1 copper wire / Romex: $ 1.60
    elec motors: $ .15
    batteries car/truck: $ 5.50
    other batteries: $ .15
    dirty brass/copper $ .20
    lead: $.45
    irony al : $ .17

    Most of the other yards pay a bit less. Copper & it's derivatives have been holding fairly steady since the sudden price drop late last winter. That left the yards a bit skittish about their pricing.
