Weitsman in New Castle it is. PSC down the road is paying slightly less. Weitsman is open to 630pm so it's convenient. I talked to some people yesterday, they are driving 3 hours each way to sell to Weitsman there.

Over $210 ton is what the big yards are getting. Gold at 1.283 and holding steady. Copper at 264 a little wavy . Aluminum 1910 ton but most yards are only paying .30 .50 makes me wonder.

Over $210 ton for what kind of steel? And is this a metric, gross or net ton price? Same questions for the Aluminum and what type?

Gross ton (long ton) 2240 lbs.
    Metric ton (tonne) 2205 lbs.
Net ton (short ton) 2000 lbs.

    Scrap prices

Lemont scrap . South west of Chicago is at 160 ton and that's not net. Prices should go up . China's looking to buy ore and scrap metal. And of coarse copper. As For E scrap there's a lot of crooks out there. With low prices. And fast BS talk .

It's the summer, they're out in droves. Some telemarketer called me this morning and asked where I took my scrap too. I asked who they were and they hung up. Why is it I only get the weird callers >.<

No you are not, I don't answer phone calls from numbers I don't know. I'm no longer looking for scrap so I'm not missing anything. Mike

Normally I wouldn't but I've noticed more and more doctors are calling for appointment stuff from inside lines. Didn't help it was a syracuse number.

Well, my real job cancelled today so I used the time to clean up the shop and trailer. It has been a pretty good week: I sold a curbco air handler for $200. I sold the garage sale jointer for $200, and now this trailer full....

Gave the teller $4 and the three guys that helped me $2 bucks each. I know it is not a huge amount, but it is cold beer for them.

Yes, I buy them when I can for a buck a piece. I use them to scrap until they fall apart and then move the next one into place. The guys at the yard keep telling me that they are gonna get it one day.
