    $5.75/100lbs lately here.

Not as low as what some of you guys are getting, but it's half of what it brought last year.

I just put the front back on they came with. If I have smaller metal (like floppy drives, cd drive covers) then I throw that inside the carcasses.

Shred was up $15/ton a month ago. Now it's back down $10/ton. They're paying $55/ton. Two yards say bright copper could go as low as $1.00/lb. but still around $2.00 yet. Northern Nebraska.

Back to the 1980s for Cu prices but still 2015 cost-of-living. That would be a drag I'd have to pack some 5 gallon buckets away at that price and forget in the corner for some years...

Already done. At least a couple hundred pounds of brass. I will toss the little bits and pieces into a bucket and let it build up into a fairly solid block of brass, then stick it away in a corner. I look at it like a little bank account.

We are at .04 a pound in SW MO. Just dropped a penny the past couple weeks. Most everything else is still manageable for now...

The lady at the desk said that they can ship steel to China, have it refined and produced and ship it back here as product for less than it takes to keep the entire process here...so that certainly isn't helping.
