    SW MO prices

Today, some of the good things went up in price...copper, shredder, and wire.

    Now looking at

    Bare Brite Copper $2.50
    No. 1 Copper $2.40
    No. 2 Copper $2.00

    Insulated #1 70% $1.50
    Insulated #2 50% WO/PLUGS $0.75
    Insulated #2 w/plugs $0.60

    Tin & Scrap $100.00
    #2 Steel $155.00
    Stove Cast $165.00
    Clean Auto Cast $175.00
    Dirty Motors $110.00
    Torch Iron $40.00
    Whole Autos $100.00

Brass at 1.50, stainless at .45, aluminum at 50.

The most interesting part of the conversation today there was that they have been losing money the past few months. This is a regional chain, so they can probably afford to do this a bit better, but if they are in trouble, the little guy may be too.

Crazy thing is, 70 miles away, the sister yard pays WAY better on copper and wire...they said it may be they are taking it up the chain to a place with cheaper transportation costs, hence the difference.
