    Mother load

Felt like a kid in a candy shop yesterday, went to the movies with my Grandson and there sits a very large construction dumpster in the parking lot,I took a look inside and Bingo, metal up the ya zoo. tons of 2'' heavy steel hand rail and a big cool looking movie projector , lots of 6'' metal studs..a good day

I think it's worth repeating...sometimes those construction dumpsters are earmarked for scrap. May not be "free game". May want to ask before diving in.

Unless you got permission from the construction company to remove this from there bin its theft. Construction, HVAC and other guys make money off what they remove so you may have gotten lucky but also may be on security camera so if you took enough for them to notice they may be looking for you.
I'm going to recycle the world.

I'd definitely get permission. With prices down, you may be able to get the stuff for free from them. There was a collection bin here a couple of years ago. I struck up a conversation with the guy in charge, and I was granted permission to take whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted.

    Permission is key, though.

I run service for some theater chains, and they toss whatever. The ones I deal with get open tops and load them up, then get charged on the weight. So your saving them money.

I talked to the Manager about taking the steel from the dumpster, it was mixed with tile, drywall, copper wire, steel roofing. Had to work for it
