a few yards within 45 miles of me 2 are close both owned by brothers who are a separate entity of each other.. one yard pays 100.00 PGT for tin and 200 for clean iron, the other yard pays 150.00 pgt for tin and 235 for clean iron... now the copper has droped from #1 clean 2.70LB to 2.45 lb.. #2 went from 2.60 to 2.35LB makes a difference when dropping off more than 50LBS at a time.. That yard also told me that copper will be dropping for a while... so will you hord it till later date... will copper go back up after summer time scramble of scrappers... who knows. I don't deal in large amounts so I guess I can wait a while unless I need some quick 1 week turnaround cash...

alum is still 35 or 40cents a lb..cast 30 or 35cents.. my yards only take copper transformers as steel price even tv board copper transformer/motor as steel. there are little black casings on a tv board that have copper wound next to 2 copper pieces and what looks to be like a round silver contact. anyone know if that's correct or not..
