I have a yard a couple cities from me that buys batteries for $12-$18 each. Going to start saving my batteries for that place. Now i just need batteries to save...

Ok well some times I will call the battery company's them self's using as a example Interstate batterie has a warehouse not far from me the thing I have found out about them is they order a load of batteries they have to send a load of cores and if they are short they will pay you above the yard prices in your area. A little tip sell your batteries by the weight you will come out much better than by the piece.

I'm lucky-- sitting at .38/lb... although my aluminum prices are very depressed here! Good with the bad I suppose!
I'm so into scrapping.. When my Steel Toe Boots Wear out, I cut the Steel out of them and recycle the Toe!

Speaking of batteries, I had some electric toy scooter batteries. My yard pays by the lb and these are small so I took them to Advance Auto Parts and they give you a 5.00 store credit each. I had 8 of them and got a 40.00 gift card! Better than I would have gotten by the lb.

$8 each or .28/lb, I almost always weigh them, the only time I take the $8 is if I only have a cpl and they are small one's like from a honda

There are a few random places in town buying them (one is an auto repair shop, one is just a place that says "We buy batteries", one is a used/cheap battery retailer but he doesnt pay hardly anything) but the highest paying local SCRAP yard doesnt take them, one of the other scrap yards only pays 12 cent a pound.
