    personally, I wouldn't mind it hitting 30$ a ton

    Alvord iron and salvage
    3rd generation scrapper and dam proud of it

    Finally dropped here in SC..the shredder was at $11.50/100lbs and closed for a week for July 4th, now at $9.00/100lbs.

    Dropped here from 240 ton to 160 a ton. I never did before, but since I have some acreage here I am now hoarding even the tin. Should have several trailer loads by the time prices go back up.

    From what I've seen at my yard, all the pure metals except for AL and stainless have dropped big time. Now, what confuses me is that all the stuff that my yard usually ships off to China is holding steady. For example:

    Al/Cu fin- $.80, down only about $.10 from before the big drops
    Motors/boards- $.17, down only 3 cents from before the drops
    Ins. Wire- $.80, down about 10 or 20 cents from before the drops

    Those numbers are nowhere near the percentage drops of other metals. This is pretty confusing, considering there's not much demand in China right now for metals
