What do you do with mixed metals?

I have some cabinet knobs that are a mix of nickel and sterling. How do you recycle something like that with mixed metals? Do they give you the lower of the two prices? Or would they not even take a mixed metal?

If not easily sorted/separated, it will usually go for the rate of the lower(est) value metal. They might have a "mixed" category, it just depends. Call and find out.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.
