Scrap Metal Specifications And Guidelines Circular

I have been reading thread after thread of members asking questions about the descriptions of there scrap metals and other members giving bad or wrong advice and answers. So I think it would be best for all to read the Official specifications and guidelines set forth by ISRI ( Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries ). Everybody and anybody who scraps for more then a hobby should read and learn most if not all the descriptions and the guidelines set forth for Non- ferrous / Ferrous / Glass / paper / Plastic / Electronic / tire. You can either order the latest version or download for free a later version of the circular. These are the guidelines that ALL scrap yards buying and selling scrap must follow ( Or should be following )

Looks like an interesting resource. Plan to evaluate the information from it and apply it to my scrapping business. Thank you.

Well, most are aware of the ISRI standards. No doubt some do follow them.
