    How to EMBED IMAGES

I'm posting this to inform you guys about how to EMBED your images into your posts, instead of just placing a clickable link.

STEP 1 - First, you'll need to create an account at either Photobucket or Imageshack.

STEP 2 - Once you've created your account at either of these websites, you can begin uploading your images there.

STEP 3 - Once you've uploaded the photo you'd like to add to your post or thread, you'll need to get the "direct link" for your image, and use that to embed it within the forum.

Here's an image of the link type you need to obtain from Photobucket to embed your image:

Here's an image of the link type you need to obtain from ImageShack to embed your image:

STEP 4 - When creating or editing your post, click on the following button in the post editor (click 'Go Advanced' if you don't see the following button):

STEP 5 - When you click the 'insert image' button, a pop-up will appear. Insert the image URL in this box. (Make sure you use the DIRECT LINK option when using photo sharing sites like photobucket.com or imageshack.us )

    That's it.

Try to embed your images into your posts, rather than just inserting a link so members can see the images right from the thread without leaving the site to view it.

PS - If you have a large image that won't fit within your post, when you actually publish your post or thread with the image, it will be resized automatically to fit your post.

I just recently got a digital camera, before that I would email them from my old phone to myself(I have Verizon). Just put your email address instead of a phone #, then on the email right click the pic and "save as" into your file name of choice. Then you can upload that to Photobucket.com as in my case. Took me a little time to figure out the photobucket process but now I use it in Craigslist adds, much bigger clearer pics that help to sell items mo betta. One thing I found on my pos phone tho was, if I zoomed in the emailed pic was only thumbnail size for some reason, so now I just use the regular setting.

The zoom function on my cheap camera make the pic's look kinda blurry or grainy.

Ok, I figured out what I was doing wrong. Under your photobucket pic in the drop down menu left click the "direct link" line and it will flash copied. Then go to your post and click the insert image button, delete the highlighted http stuff because it is included in the code you copied then paste the code you copied in there and it should work.

    Clear as mud?

Yes if you want to delete anything just go to your edit reply and when it opens the 3rd box to the right is delete, it will wipe out the post you made.

What I am I doing wrong?

Why don't I get the advance features when I click the "Go Advance" button?

    UPDATE::::
If anyone else is having the same problem as I was, which was I didn't have the editing tools to work with.
    Go to MY SETTINGS
    under MY ACCOUNT
    click GENERAL SETTINGS
    go down to "Miscellaneous Options"
and change the "Message Editor Interface" from the "basic editor" to at least the "Standard Editor - Extra formatting controls"

    Hope it helps.
