    Completed another transaction of greater than scrap value RAM, hard drives and CPUs with PTS, and the first one on behalf of the yard where I work (we've got a buyer's thread too!). As always PTS was responsive to questions and offered a quick turnaround time, under two weeks, on a shipment with hundreds of hard drives and nearly 1000 RAM modules. Good prices and service. As the other reviewers above all note, terrific person to do business with and I look forward to sending out next load.

    Do you require memory to be in tested and working condition?

    Terry I finally got my stuff boxed up and will be sending it tomorrow. Nothing large, just a medium flat rate box full of memory and cpu's.

    I've heard nothing but good things about PTS so i decided to give him a try.

    Communication was easy and prompt and he answered every question. Smooth transaction and prompt test results. Payout was more than expected. Thank you Terry.

    Imo, 100% buyer for better than scrap items. Recommended

    Yes they need to be the i Series type usualy say e5 or e7- then 4 numbers. They will also have a v and a number sometimes. This is a version number. The higher the version number the more they are worth. So real hard to make a price sheet for all the XEON chips. There is also a 5 digit code on all chips that starts with an S. Makes it easy to look stuff up with that code as well. Send me what you got and I can quite a price.

    You have a nice shop. It isn't far from me and I drive past there on my commute sometimes. I look forward to working with you further as I will semi-regularly have servers, workstations and parts - things that you likely would be interested in.

    I can buy them as scrap but you aint going to like the price. Imacs as you know are very labor intensive to tear apart. For that reason we dont pay much. Call me and we can talk about what ya got.

    Hi Terry;

    I have an open thread in DISCUSSION at https://www.scrapmetalforum.com/scra...tml#post300679 but it was suggested I use this forum and I see you buy CPU's so you would know the answer.

    ____________________

    I have about 350 Intel Celeron P1053 CPU's FC LGA 1366 used but in perfect condition and have been tested good. However, they are Celerons from about 2013 so I thought they might be worth more as scrap.

    They are the newer socket 1366 without pins, just bumps. I was HOPING they would be worth a few dollars each for gold recovery but I can not find any information on recovering gold from 'modern' Intel CPU's.

    I can't post links but here iS photo voteleela.com/downloads/cel1366.jpg
    Your comments would be appreciated.

    I will weigh them and figure out the math. What is the city they need to be shipped to? I need to figure out my cost of transit.

    I put a few on eBay to see if anyone wants them as working CPU's but I will be shocked if I move 5 of them.

    Thanks Terry.
