Ah, Urban you read way to much in to my quote good sir. I meant to no offense. As was pointed out, I always have a quote, or some other comment in my tagline usually with no relation whatsoever to the thread unless noted with ( )'s. If it offended I apologize, I can see why you would think it but..it wasn't meant as such.

For the record if i want to call someone an idiot I'll do so straight out an not in my quote/tag line.

Back to how awesome Mario an his crew are. Hoozah!

I think they should allow you to edit pages. I say that you SHOULD keep all the reviews and posts with questions, just delete the "conversational" posts. The comments/questions posted on here since the beginning have been very informative, but 48 pages is a bit much to digest for a singular answer. The bad side of doing a great job is that you become the benchmark for others, which can be a mixed blessing

I completely understood your wit and quote dear Sir Scrap bt felt compelled to make sure the new guy who doesn't know you yet did not misconstrue it. Alas we are just adding more pages to Marios(is that ewasteds name?) form post to make it more laborious to get through so I end my part in all this

Drove a van & trailer load to Mario @ his warehouse in early September. Arrived around 1p & and had a check in hand for 6K by 430p. The load was a mix of connectors, high grade telecom, computer boards, backplanes, and low grade items. Also included some memory, trimmed fingers, and processors.

VERY PLEASED by the service. To triage, sort, process, and make payment in 3.5 hours for a couple thousand lbs of mixed material was exceptional. Thanks again to Mario & his crew!

PS...I had a hundred lbs or so of oddball items that Mario needed to have quoted before making payment on. Within a week we were able to agree on a value & he remitted payment via ACH & I had funds in my bank account the following business day.

As usual, another great face to face transaction with Mario and crew today (10-4-13) at CFCS. Paid out better than expected yet again. Quick turnaround on the sort. No need for me to go anywhere else.

Nice talking a little business and general economy with you Mario after the check cutting. Hope CFCS has a profitable fall. We'll be in touch as soon as I get the next load together.

    Thanks again

Just got paid for a small load that CFCS received on 10/2. Apparently they had some sick sorters which have backed things up, so if anyone else is waiting.....don't worry, they are catching up.

One thing of note......for the first time in the dozen or so loads I have sent in, I had a last line that read

    "(8) AL REMOVED 4 $0.00 $0.00"

Which I interpret as Aluminum removed (has to be heatsinks), 4lbs, with no payment.

Had I known this policy had changed, I would have been very happy to remove those heatsinks. I could have fit more mass into a smaller box, and gotten paid for the aluminum as well.

    *edit*

Just saw post's #942 & #943 in this thread.....is there anywhere else that this change was mentioned?

As the pages are long, can't you just start a Buying Electronic precious metal scrap! New Page? Keep all of the good info on the first one and start pricing and answering the same questions on the new one? I can't see deleting the items as what would you delete?

    Hello

We have had on this thread for a really long time that we do not accept the excess steel and aluminum, it is on the first page. We also ask batteries be removed. We have been patient to allow people to adjust and we are still getting batteries and not charging, still getting excess aluminum and not charging as well as other major problems such as non gold content connectors in the connector mix - Power supply ends, RCA cable ends, power cable ends, etc.

Unfortunately the removed heatsinks is the "coverage" for additional labor. If you feel duped I am happy to credit you on the aluminum.

Arguably could've been more clearly communicated, I am certainly guilty of not being perfect. In the same breath, I don't want to "trick" anyone. As we have been since day one and will continue to be, transparent.

Maybe I can ask the admin to clear up page one completely so we can put pertinent info on it?

It's no problem. I was just curious, as I had thought that N/S Bridge heatsinks were ok, and had never been docked in the past. From now on they will be removed. Thanks again for your service.

I have always removed the large heatsink that covers the main processor, but thought it was okay to leave the smaller heatsinks. Are we supposed to remove them?

I try to remove all I can..........It is frustrating as I feel I could move the material much faster if I didn't have to go through those extra steps.........Either way I still send stuff to Ewasted because in over a year He has always sent a check for my material and it has always been good.........Sometimes taking a few extra minutes to remove excess material is worth the peace of mind knowing that the money will be there

The smaller N/S bridge heatsink is OK. It is the larger ones that need to be removed. On fingerboards we need the heatsinks removed as well. Sometimes these heatsinks are up to 60% of the weight.

Got you. I figured a N/S heatsink is a N/S heatsink, but some have to be held down with a clip or wire, and are obviously 2X-4X the mass of the smaller ones.

Glad to have a learning experience....looking forward to being able to pack future boxes a bit tighter.

Another easy transaction, delivered the box to fedex on Monday, got a check in the mail Saturday evening. Very easy and pleasant to deal with!
