RevenantDusk...I don't think they buy CD/DVDs just the circuit boards from the drives and the drives themselves. You can email them with items you have for sale that are not on the list at info@cashforcomputerscrap.com

Heres the thread I was referring to:
http://www.scrapmetalforum.com/non-m...-recyling.html
Knew I read it somewhere.
Oh, you're right then. I hadn't seen that one and it sure isn't on their price lists. Good catch there. It would take a lot of them to make the 10,000 lb required weight.
The other pawn shop on my sandbar will buy them. He doesn't pay much but he'll buy them. He has a machine that fixes them. I dunno the details an only know what I know cause I asked how he was able to sell movies an games so cheap.
So there is a market for the used ones. I know when I was AZ they had a place called bookmans that would give you like.. .50 per cd as in store credit, if you took cash it was like .25 or .10 per.
I'd rather deal with Mario personally, but i don't have a tractor trailer's worth..lol.
Sirscrapalot - Likes using CD/DVDs as frisbee's.
I have a couple of games that are totally unplayable or the disc is glitched, so I figured if he pays for them Id just send em in with my next box of ewaste.
Rev I got a reply for ya, but i don't want to add any more to E's thread. Tough on the folks looking for buyer info. Will post my reply in the CD/DVD thread you posted earlier.
To ewasted an his crew..Sorry the addition to your thread. Sucker is long enough without us all bantering in it.

@EWasted: I think I am doing something wrong on the site. I cannot figure out how to get the prepaid shipping label. I think I've requested it correctly, but it hasn't shown up. Any thoughts?
Never Mind: It was hiding in the Spam folder. How do I send another box? I finished one while my quote was in limbo.
Thanks!
Just wanted to give a quick review for Ewasted. Great Company! My shipment arrived on a Friday morning, was processed by the following Wednesday and I was payed on a Thursday, so just under a week turnaround for my order. Payment was right around what I had calculated. I also really like the customer service chat they were quickly able to answer my questions/resolve a small issue. I will be sending more stuff there way!
HI. I am newbie to all of this scrapping and need a lot of help. I am going to be sending my scrap computer parts to ewasted. Here are my questions.
1. I only have one computer to scrap, so can I just send the computer as a whole?
(I only have one of every part.)
(I have a motherboard, hdd, dvd and cd player in one, floppy disk player, a dedicated telephone card, 280 watt power supply, and an aluminum case)
2. What is the approximate price for a 20 pound computer parts?
3. what is the approximate shipping price form Brooklyn NY?
Thank you.
This is a great community.
steve,,,it costs me roughly 20 cents per pound to ship to ewasted,,,,,i am very close to him also......you may want to wait till you have enough to justify shipping costs.......the less you ship the more per pound it will cost you....as a general rule most like to ship 65 to 70 pounds.......i actually think you would loose money shipping 1 computer even if you stripped 3 or 4 or 5 you would still not make much after shipping.......you may want to save stuff up for a bit
Thanks wadarbr549, Do you have any idea on how I can collect parts? For now I just have this one computer given to me at my work.
go on over to the introduction section,,,,introduce yourself......do some reading in the archives....lets not clog up ewasted's thread...youl get more help if you post your own thread,,,,,and in the meantime search electronics breakdown,,, and board grading in the archives...the question of where to find scrap has been asked alot...search in the search bar and you can see the answers other members have got in the past
Not trying to be a nuisance or anything, but can we get a updated price list if possible?
Stevescrapper,
Ewasted doesnt purchase whole computers. Better to wait until you have more material to send in. Im also in Brooklyn and I sent a 32 lb box, cost 20 something dollars to ship. Theres high grade boards in flat screen TVs/moniters, cable boxes, modems, telecom equipment, and projection TVs to name a few. Cell phones and their batteries are another thing to look out for. Also gold plated connecters from wire, and IC chips from low grade boards(Use a flat head screw driver to pop out the ones with prongs on only 2 sides, the ones that are soldered to the board with legs on all sides, use a knife to cut at least one row of legs of, and pry with a flathead). The search function here is very useful, youll learn a lot.
Good luck!
Anyone else had issues getting payment here lately.. Sent shipment says payment was sent 8/27 and have not received yet. Have not gotten check yet and have not been able to to get the online operator or any email response.
