Just a question, if someone is dropping off to you is there always a weeks wait to get paid? I noticed another buyer has the same turn around time as well. Or is it only on large loads which would be understandable. The weeks wait on payment is not noted anywhere on page one of your buyers thread.
The turn around time is not always a week. We just estimate that in case we are busy and cant get the material sorted and weighed sooner. We are a wholesale electronics refurbisher who buys escrap. We are not open for retail to the public. We are not setup for on the spot payouts. Most of our business is corporate and done on a net terms basis. We handle drop off equipment/material in between sorting and processing equipment from corporate customers. Unlike a retail scrap yard we do not have the staff or are setup for weigh and pay situations. With that said we welcome customers to contact us and make an appointment to drop off what material they have. If a customer has reusable equipment they are selling, we normally get all of the model numbers, specs, pictures over phone/email and come to an agreed upon price in advance.
Our main line of business is IT asset management/recovery, de-installation and logistics, certified data destruction, and refurbished equipment/component sales. We generate a lot of scrap from that end of the business. That led into us buying scrap as there is a need in our regional market. All of the local scrap yards still don't understand or want much to do with escrap.
Thanks Chris for explaining what you do. I was under the impression you were strictly an ewaste buyer.
Dropped off my e-waste with Chris and his crew. Told check would be in mail within 10 business days. Chris kept in contact with me and check was ahead of schedule, along with a detailed list of the items that I dropped off. Like all previous customers, I too would highly recommend doing business with CLR Solutions.
I do have two recommendations, since I'm such a critic.
One recommendation would be that that I would have is that if a customer is dropping off items, to give them a drop-off receipt or ticket with a number (like the one on the check) that could be used as a reference (or an e-mail) just to say that items were dropped off, and prevent any confusion or mix-ups.
The second recommendation is that I would put a sign or some kind of landmark by the street that would be able to allow new customers to easily find CLR Solutions. I drove by about 3 times before I realized that CLR was in the back of the building.
Otherwise, I plan to do business with them in the future. Very honest and easy to work with. Truck was unloaded in 10 minutes, and my truck and other property was respected (unlike at other scrap yards). I'm completely satisfied.
Rob, thanks for the feedback. To address your recommendations:
All material dropped off is promptly logged into our computer and ticket number assigned. The pallets/gaylords are also labeled.
As for the sign. I would love to put a sign out by the road. We are not allowed to. The zoning in our wonderful town does not allow any signs. The town says we cannot put a permanent sign into "wetlands" without a variance and approval by the planning board. The cost to do so would easily exceed 5000 dollars. Other tenants in the building have expressed similar interest but the landlord refuses to do anything. We are only allowed the sign on the door to our unit. Not even a bigger banner above our unit in the back of the building is allowed.
How about a sandwich board put out on the sidewalk in the morning and taken in in the eve?Quote:

Those are considered a portable(temp), not permanent.
Is there a minimum amount of products you require before buying?
Are you still buying? How about working server parts?
I will PM you a list of complete pn's.
had the pleasure of meeting chris recently. highly recommended if you want more than scrap value for your electronics and componenets, certainly helps the bottom line considerably
We are still buying all types of computers and electronics as well as escrap. We are super busy with growth, and are working on R2 and NAID AAA certifications. Anyone with questions or equipment, material, or even a corporate asset management job please reach out to me.
Thought I would post a review here which I should have done awhile back. Took a full load up to Chris this past winter. Easy drop off and quickly loaded a pallet with what I brought. Within a week, they had sorted and verified what I had brought (which was nearly identical to what I estimated) and then within 30 days after that I had a check for the full amount. Prices were better than I could get elsewhere on most items, and since I did not have to pay any shipping I also got to unload a couple hundred pounds of Low Grade boards at a good price. I will be further breaking down/better sorting a few items next time, saving a few new things for them and not bringing them one or two items as I get better pricing without the wait in payment from my normal yard. All and all a good experience. If you are within driving distance of North Jersey, it's a good option.

I have around 200 15" Dell LCD Monitors for sale if anyone is interested. Most if not all are functional with scratches and scuffs during transportation before I got them.
I'm pretty sure they have stopped buying. Wish they were still.
Has anybody got any neat ideas which will use those monitors? There's just so many of them out there.
They used to be a pricey item, now in 2nd hand shops for $30, & we cannot sell them direct to a buyer/user for $10....
Someone I know has 60 of them for sale.
They have gone the same way as printers, not worth bothering with, to easy to get and they do not have much escrap in them for recycling, too much plastic waste leftover.
And they still work like they did when they were taken out of the box, brand new.
Some, are 12 volt DC. This must mean there's a alternet use for them.
Flat screens aren't even worth ripping apart for the boards - the gold contacts are only a couple micrometers thick!
On a side note, my one friend makes some money replacing broken screens for $15 - $20 each.
Why are we giving out names of other buyers on CLR's buyers thread? I don't care if he hasn't been active in a while. Have some respect, he paid for a buyer's thread. You can say he hasn't been active, but save the suggestions for other buyers to private messages.
END OF RANT.

We are still active. I did not get any notifications of these posts from 2016. We will be updating the information from our main post on this thread later this week.
BTW to the poster asking about 200 15" LCD Monitors, the market for those is dead and no one that runs a sustainable asset management business is actively looking to purchase them.
Our main post has been updated.
I want to buy lead acid battery scrap on monthly basis. Please back to us with your selling quantity, photo, scrap price, etc via nicole@oneheart-service.com
