I understand, Duck and cover under your desk and you will be safe.

That type of security never worked for me as I seek the bigger truths that expose the deceptions and lies that the many try and follow and believe in.

If it's working for you, that's great.

I understand very well that I'm of the few in a world filled with the many that can believe what ever they wish even if it's mostly B.S.

Nothing new under the sun when the many try and have their fun.

Like a good neighbor State Farm is there and you're in good hands with Allstate.

What I'm saying is that most people are dishonest to a point as they believe in a subjective truth and reality of facades and illusions.

They have been making counterfeits and fakes as long as there has been something to counterfeit and fake.

    What is honesty?

    What is truth?

I have a great understanding of what those words mean and don't mean.

I get what you're saying CD. It's like the scrapper from the UK on youtube said about brass plate ... " The world is full of deception. "

You've gotta understand ... you're not that good with people. You mostly keep to yourself so there are subtleties to human relationships that will forever be elusive to you. You don't see beyond the borders of your own property. In your world ... people are not to be trusted.

It's a different set of rules in other realms.

Rule #1 : Never ever ever break the trust. The rewards are rewarding. Anyone with half an ounce of common sense abides by the rule.

I keep to myself as I'm a bit overwhelming for most.

People are uncomfortable with what they don't and can't understand within their self designed realities.

I'm mostly a private person in that I have no interest in chasing fame and fortune in ways that are popular with most.

I've made others including the so called adults feel uneasy since I was very young as I've never been a fan of fantasy and fiction in ways that most others are.

I keep mostly to myself because of that fact.

Most are trying to run away from themselves as they don't like WHO they are as they haven't much of a real clue to WHAT to believe.

I could say more, but I will stop at that.

    baby steps.......

Dude ... what's all that got to do with anything ? You spend too much time living in your own head. Say what you will ... but don't fall into the trap of actually believing your own bull$hit.

Look ... it's simple enough ... there's a lot more money to be made in legitimate business.

    ~ That's why you don't break the trust. ~

    It's just common sense.

Lol .... i suppose we are all bio bots that can only function within parameters of our base programming. Change is possible to some degree but it takes time to rewrite our software. Oftentimes it takes years to manifest the change.

People always do their best. If they could do any better at any given moment in time ... they would.

I suppose we all have our software " glitches ". The main thing to look for is how functional people are out there in the real world. Some folks don't cope very well. They struggle with mental illness. The real world is too stressful for them to manage.

So ... if you view me as an earthling ... would that imply that you truly believe you are a member of a superior alien species ?

I'm saying that I AM not of this world simply put.

It's a bit like the scriptures of "Satan" offering Jesus "the world" if Jesus would bow down to him.

I don't believe in religious concepts, but I do find that a lot can be learned from the religious writings and programming that is available.

Nothing new under the sun says to me that humans are the same today as they were thousands of years ago. They as a whole haven't grown up as of yet and won't because their love lust for the following and believing in their fantasy and fictions always gets in the way.

The words and meanings to describe me don't really exist.

As for how I view myself. I'm not superior to you and others, I'm just far more "grown up and mature" as I have left childish ways and thinking behind me long ago.

I live the way I do as it WORKS very well overall.

I understand very well WHY you see me the way that you do as that is "normal" in overall human thinking and beliefs.

What is NORMAL and what is not changes this way and that way as long as it keeps the grand illusion moving along.

I'm much the same as I was when I was 4 years old. I just figured out how the tricks were done along the way.

It's the love lust for fantasy and fiction that gets in peoples way.

Just follow and believe in the proper rituals and all will be fine.

Most try and believe that you will be a happy camper some day in the future if you can just get there.

I'm a happy camper already as I don't require all the fantasy and fictional escapes that most believe that is required to be content.

I view most that are around my age as overgrown angry toddlers that didn't get their way. Things didn't turn out the way they dreamed they would.

If my 4 year old self was to travel through time and visit with me, I would be amazed at how well my "dreams" worked out for me.

WHY do I even bother writing this STUFF?

Because it bothers me that most are so busy trying to run away from themselves and be something they are not that most never become FREE from what binds them.

There is far to much ANGER, argument and fighting for true peace and clear understanding to become popular.

I have never wanted to be something that I'm not. Seems that many believe that if they get a fancy box of tools and a spiffy uniform with some patches and their name that they can be a top notch grade A mechanic. As for the training and knowledge, you can buy that on line or elsewhere for a price.

And you can always search the older threads here to get the paper work and diplomas required.

Just get the "magic" credentials and proper tools and such and POOF your what you want to be.

I understand that I'm posting on ACCR's thread, but that's just the way that "things" turned out.

Sorry about that ACCR. At least it keeps your thread at the top of the list in this ghost town.

    And in closing BOO

It doesn't seem to be moving relative to the dollar. Maybe supply and demand ? Market manipulation ?

I hear ya. The PM's have been of interest to me for a long time. Did really well with silver back in the late 70's. I was just a teenager at the time but i worked hard and saved my money. Things were getting kinda wonky with the economy so my dad plowed a good chunk of his savings into PM's as a safe haven hedge against currency inflation. I followed his lead put what i had into silver. He called it right. There was a point where he was making more on his investments every day than on his job as a mid level manager with a fortune 500 defense contractor.

It worked out better than expected for me. I bought silver at around $6.00/oz and sold somewhere around $ 35.00/oz. It's not like i knew what i what i was doing. Just happened to be in the right place at the right time.

I later learned about the Hunt Brothers manipulation of the silver market and how that all went horribly wrong for them. It's an interesting read if you have a couple of minutes to spare.

    https://www.investopedia.com/article...t-brothers.asp

From this ... i learned that the PM's market is sometimes influenced when the big dawgs are at play. You gotta look for the tells. Sometimes you see it in the charts. Sometimes you see when they're buying and selling during the day.

One of the wealthy gents in my community exploited a pretty good opportunity back in the 90's. He noticed a price difference in the gold markets around the globe. He had an arrangement where he could simultaneously buy in Lebanon and sell in New York. In the course of a few minutes he could make a quick 20 k.

I think it was a similar kind of market influence awhile back with Rhodium and Palladium. Purportedly ... the Russian oligarchs controlled much of the global supply at that time and were playing serious hardball with prices.

You can see it in the five year charts for those metals. I put them up in my last post but they seem to have disappeared. No matter ... one could look them up from their preferred source if one were interested.

    Lol ... i guess i'm a dork.

No harm in trying to keep the forum alive with subjects that might be of interest to a metals recycler. Most especially to someone that buys and sells.Commodities prices and changes in the market can make or break you.

It seemed to have a little bit of a bounce on early trading but i agree. Was looking at the one year chart. If the information is correct .... palladium was trading at roughly $ 1,800.00 a year ago. It's trading at about $ 983.00 this morning. That's an awful drop.

This might be a good time to buy.

South Africa and Russia are where most palladium is found and mined.

Canada and then last on the list is U.S.A.

    If we look at what
palladium is used for and then look at what most gold and silver were used for beyond jewelry in the past.

We would have a large amount of gold and silver that is sitting in landfills and off in outer space.

So what I'm saying is just as gold and silver is used LE$$ and LE$$ as the manufactures find cheaper ways to make a dollar should also happen with
    palladium.

Just some food for thought for your futures predictions.

I think you have to look at the industrial uses for palladium. True enough ... it's used in electronics. That demand should be less. It's used in catalytic converters though as well. That demand will remain strong.

It's also used in fuel cells as well. There's every good chance in the world that hydrogen could replace gasoline as a fuel for our cars in the not too distant future. They already have hydrogen powered vehicles on the road and filling stations in California.

Whew ... i'll tell ya man. There's huge market potential here. Imagine using electricity produced by a solar farm out back of your hydrogen filling station. You use that electricity to split water into hydrogen & oxygen on site. You compress that hydrogen and then pipe it out to the pumps out front. It's like having an oil rig, a refinery, and a retail sales location all in one except that it's 100 times more profitable than oil because it's so efficient. Palladium would play a key role in all of that.

Gold and silver are completely different animals. They have their industrial uses but their main thing is that they serve as a hard currency. As the US dollar becomes weaker ... gold & silver go up in value. They're a pretty effective hedge against inflation. That's why they have been doing so well lately.

There are some things we can be pretty sure of:

1: The trend toward EV's will continue. They will eventually displace ICE vehicles.

2: Global warming will continue. (Whether it's real or not won't make any difference.) Green technologies have a bright future.

3: The dollar will continue to lose value. To make it stronger ... they would have to pay down the national debt and that's never gonna happen .

Silver finally seems to be on the move.... While many things have been hitting all time highs - gold, cryptos, stock market, etc... does anybody think that silver will hit an all time high in the next few months?

The silver market is being manipulated BIG TIME as there are those doing the tricks and ADVERTISING for people to invest in silver. The gold market is just along for the ride, but is not being pushed in the same ways as it's a whole different horse and not just a horse of another color.

So that being said. I see the silver going up, BUT it will crash when it get's to the proper point where the people behind the curtain can CA$H IN.

MANY are selling their fake and over priced "silver" items and making a good profit right now.

So the BIG question is when do you buy and when do you sell depending on what your plan is.

AND HOW MUCH OF YOUR PRECIOUS METALS IS THE REAL DEAL and not of the MANY FAKES out there EVERYWHERE...

I personally have little interest in selling as I don't have much invested in the PMs I have as they are all bought and paid for long ago and the stuff I buy these days is a collectable coin or a popular silver item or well worn older coins that are best for the artists and hobbyists.
