Buying Computer Parts and Laptops for Greater than Scrap Value

I'm glad to be back, helping the community! I've added more hard drive and memory testing stations, so we're ready for your stuff!

I look forward to working with you! We purchase a lot of more than scrap value parts, including CPUs, RAM, and HDDs. We also purchase graphics cards and complete laptops! Feel free to PM me anytime, or you can E-Mail me here. I can also chat with you via telephone or text messaging if you like, but Wyoming cell service is notoriously bad.

Prices Please see our Google Spreadsheet for current pricing:

In the spreadsheet below is a list of most of what we are purchasing for greater than scrap value. We are looking for working items in good shape. I test all items, and they must be in working order to receive these prices. Failed items will be paid at our current scrap prices. Items will be paid at the prices effective on the day that your lot is received (Not when you ship). We try not to change prices too often. You can view prices below. There is a copy of the packing slip for download, or a fillable one in the spreadsheet if you'd prefer. Please contact me to obtain a lot number for larger shipments

Please click here for packing slip! Please place a copy in each box you send

Please let me know before you send a lot- there is only one me- I will make sure to take care of you, but it helps a LOT to know what's coming, so I can make my schedule around it. This way your lot is tested as quickly as possible, and that means money in your pocket faster!

For larger lots, I cannot recommend our resident freight shipper on the forum (You all know who I'm talking about!) highly enough! If you ship a pallet, I can pick it up at the NPT freight terminal, so there is no charge for liftgate service

The fun part (Well, for you at least ) : We pay either through PayPal or by money order- your choice! Please note that there is a $5.00 fee deducted for payments sent via money order to cover the cost of the money order and postage. For PayPal payments, you are liable for all their fees. We cannot guarantee PayPal fee costs. We cannot send payment to anyone other than yourself or the company that you represent- no third parties!

Prices are subject to change without notice. We are in uncertain times as you all know- we try not to change prices, but in the event of market changes, prices may change. All lots are paid out at the rates in effect on the date that they are received, not the day that they are postmarked. Shipping reimbursement or partial prepayment is handled on a case-by-case basis. All boxes need to have an inventory list with your name, SMF username (If you have one), lot number, preferred payment method (PayPal or Money Order), the address for payment to be made to, and an E-Mail that can be used to contact you. We have a nice little form that you can use for just that to make it nice and easy!

I'm proud to have worked with many of the same clients for the last few years, and I look forward to working with you too!

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We are now purchasing vintage hard drives and RAM! Please let me know what you have, and I'll be more than happy to get you a quote on your old treasures!

For laptops, how do ones with locked bios get handled?

The short answer: It depends on the model

The longer answer: Most of the computers I refurbish are sold locally, to people who don't even know what a BIOS is. If the BIOS is locked, but nothing is disabled (Such as WiFi or USB ports) and if I can install Windows on it without problems, it's a working PC and is good to go. If the BIOS is locked and needs to be unlocked, but can be unlocked with a little work, we dock for that. If it's locked, and the only way to make the laptop usable is through a motherboard replacement, it's a parts machine (May still be more than scrap, but that depends for model again of course)

I know you deal in higher volumes, so I'm assuming you're looking at a few machines that are the same model and BIOS?

    *Overdue review(s)*

I've had several dealings with Wyatt since my last review. All different, all great!

Most recently, I kinda sheepishly (goatishly) approached him about a charity event for some underprivileged kids in need of donated laptops. Finger nervously poised over the send button, I'm thinking, "This is a busy guy, this is his livelihood and I'm asking him to donate it? Okay, worst he might say is no. It's for a good cause so it's worth a try!" SEND.........................

Wyatt's response: "No problem. How many do they need?"

Donated his time, skills, advice, made a special trip to deliver what he could on REALLY short notice and even volunteered to help with future events.

Interesting to discover that some of the stuff he buys from us on here goes to help less fortunate people. Although, I kind of suspected...

It is, but for some reason, our hosting has had some weird problems this week. It should be back up shortly, but if you'd like, I can just PM you my personal E-Mail to use

New Prices are out today! The largest changes are RAM- I held off as long as I could, but prices for RAM are down some. Smaller hard drives are a little lower too. The outlook on future prices looks pretty stable. The next pricing changes will likely be around September.

Go to the bottom of the page- there are tabs that you click on for the various items we commonly purchase

Hi, can you please DM me an email that works? I have a list for your review, but keep getting an "Address not found" error when attempting to email you at info@omegayellow.com. Thank you.

I've checked and fixed a couple of E-Mail settings, and the address should be live. If you get an error sending, feel free to use our E-Waste address (recycling@OmegaYellow.com).

As for the pricing list, at the bottom of the page, there are tabs for the different types of components (Such as RAM, Hard Drives, Processors, and the like). At the bottom of the page, click on the tab for what you'd like to see prices on for the page to change. If you can't get it to open for you, just let me know what you'd like a price check on, and I'll gladly pull the price for you!

I look forwards to working with you!

I've been out of the office for a couple days- did you get the PM I just sent you? If not, I'll send you an E-Mail. Isn't technology fun?

Who am I kidding? If technology worked like it was supposed to, nobody would throw it out and we'd all be looking for work

Hello, yes I did get and replied to the direct message you sent. Thank you!

Althought the inbox system doesnt work how I would expect on here. The icon indicates I replied to your message, but it is not in the SENT folder but I THINK I replied to you. Thanks

You did. For some reason, my Sent messages never show in that folder either. I just copy them into Word and save them in case they didn't go

First shipment of MTSV Ram shipped 11/27, paid 12/18. Currently waiting on Ram testing breakdown report as of today. Several emails requesting payment status and Ram testing results breakdown were sent.

I am remaining neutral on buyer review because we all have issues beyond our control come up. To be fair and impartial I am also sending another shipment to buyer and will give final buyer review after 2nd transaction. Please do not let this review change your mind about sending product to this buyer, as I said before I am not hesitant about buyer and believe this is an isolated incident. Buyer did go out of his way to make payment to me using a different payment processor than PayPal, at my request. Not many buyers would do that for a customer!
