Another excellent experience with WIS ITAD/AGW/TJ. There was A LOT of hand-holding for me on this one, as it was my first freight shipment to his location, but everything was done professionally and with great patience, on his part. I am starting another shipment and I am excited to see how it pans out, in light of what I have learned from this last batch.

I'm having some pretty significant delays at present. We are extended to two shifts until we catch up. Just a reiteration of the process:

There is a limited time for shipping damage claims, as such the first thing done to your package is to open and inspect it's integrity. We generally do a complete inventory right then and there. At this point your package is approved for the next step IF we don't contact you about damage. The next step always happens in the order the package is received, where we compare your inbound inventory with actual, then we fill the test equipment with your batch of material. Things like cpus and desktop/laptop ram go relatively fast, usually the same day a package is ready for sort and test we finish it. Exceptions include server memory, hard drives, graphics cards, motherboards and whole PCs/laptops where a more extensive integrity test is required. After your package is complete we create a full summary of the results. At this point you receive a summary, once approved we do payments via paypal immediately and cut checks on tuesdays and fridays.

I currently have the capability to process 250-350 cpus per day and roughly 1500 ram modules. We are regularly at that limit, with two shifts I hope we can exceed the demand long enough to put additional test equipment into service and make our daily routines a little more sensible. Bear with us, I realize it has be nearly non-stop struggles as we outgrow my current capacities. I am working on it.

Quick update. Tomorrow and Friday we will close out roughly 30 inbounds, That should take us down in inbounds outstanding significantly. I had to be present in OKC and several packages were closed while I was gone. However we have received a few truckloads in that time we have two different crews to handle each.

Many of you should be noticing payments en masse. We are cresting the hill finally on backlog and for good reason.

WE ARE MOVING!!! Going from 3200 sq ft to 11,000 sq ft. We already have more employees, I am learning to divide up responsibilities and jobs. The inbound shelf that once had 50-80 boxes on it at any given time is down to a a few dozen.

We are also getting involved in auto parts both new old stock and cores. More on that later.

Moving means improvements. Having space to work is the primary purpose. The second announcement is a sku and project management inventory system getting custom made just for us. We have had inventory get misplaced during processing and have had to go in and do physical counts to verify the work already having been done once. This system will prevent someone from bypassing process or skipping jobs without inputting inventory status.

    Also, price changes coming again.

Oh and Oklahoma City warehouse is 100% up and running.

New update. MOVING HAS BEGUN! Please pardon my lack of response and our general tardiness over the next two weeks. We have well over 140 pallets to move, three work spaces to pack and move and my offsite storage (read temporary buildings on my vacant land) are all being purged so it can take up residence at our NEW FACILITY.

So what exactly will be new?

We will become increasingly aggressive on tower, server and laptop commodities. We plan to be the UNBEATABLE price on copper aluminum heatsinks, copper in all grades, power boards and a/c adapters.

Also we are working with a new processor for gold bearing material and as such you will notice our scrap board prices increasing as well. Right now we are set to introduce higher pricing on some of the fiber based cpus and the gold bearing backplanes starting next week. In addition we will be adding services to our offerings. Toll shredding, Toll milling and densified scrap processing (shredded circuit board purchasing, sampling).

lastly I want to apologize and give a heartfelt thank you to all my long time customers who have survived the explosion of our growth. With this new facility AND our new hires we are trying to get processing down to 3 working days. Right now we are at a 16 day average, hopefully we can close that up to 7 days by july 21st. Our overarching end goal is to process ANY package arriving here within three working days, with an issued payment. We want to achieve this goal before we ring in 2019. Some of the ways we can do that, is with more personnel, better inventory management that includes workflow management in an automated state. We just sat down with our inventory software developer to finalize the system we will be using going forward. For you the customer that means that sending us a BOX through the mail can arrive here, be processed in 3 working days and possibly have your check less than a workweek from the time we receive your material. It has been the bane of our operation to shorten wait times. Every time we make progress the inbound material count increased exponentially(for which we are VERY thankful, we could not possibly do what we do without all of you). I wanted to make the process as clear as possible for everyone. We are neck deep but we haven't stopped working. Our shelf is now 16 feet of packages in various states of process, we now use two work benches, 4 workstations and added to our memtest area to accept specialty ram such as ecc laptop memory.

If anyone has questions you can ask right here or send me a message directly.

Prices will change throughout this week. We are also going to be adding a general i series laptop price index in an effort to streamline processing from several months on large projects to less than two weeks.

Can you post examples of the powerboards? Specifically if I call what makes them different. Do power boards from printers and other peripherals also fall in one of these catagories?

I will post pictures for you tonight. Basically the difference is power supply boards anything that converts ac to dc power. Inverter boards are often found in plasma TVs, led display driver boards, microwave inverter boards, radio power supply boards, electric motor smart start boards, VFD boards, power distribution boards in servers, etc.

EVERY BOX IS A VALID ENTRY, we will select the address at random and notify the person of their winnings.

It is conceivable we will continue this pilot program with different prizes throughout the year. If you have any questions just ask, and good luck!

Copper is still on the down side but is slowly recovering, call or email before shipping copper bearing material, I will quote you directly.

Secondly, a big update to our buy sheets. We have updated the component buy sheet for general laptop resale pricing. It is under a new tab all by itself. The prices are reflective of a general price with the aggregate of low end quality machines and business class. If you end up with more than 50 of the same units, call or email for a more specific price.

Having some health issues flare up on me, still doing full days for now. I added some board pricing for larger quantities, we increased the price of some mobile processors and added a very basic i series laptop resale price category. That will be additionally fleshed out later on and the prices posted could move around as we establish the category.

Update: I had a pretty serious medication interaction recently that has done as yet unknown damage. As such the immune-suppressant I was on previously is no longer covered and VA decided to change my medication without investigating my needs. Now to the change in meds back requires sort of a detox so I don't have additional interaction problems and so they can make sure I have no permanent problems. It has made me extremely lethargic and has thrown my blood chemistry out of whack. The employees are still hard at work and covering down as needed. I am trying to do at least half days right now until I'm back to normal in a month or so. Obviously my health is paramount and will do everything i can to get back to my regular schedule. Thanks for understanding, I will update as needed good or bad.

In other news, we hired a warehouse manager about a month ago now, it has caused some growing pains and we are getting him acclimated. If you need anything from me, obviously you can reach me directly, otherwise either my wife or the manager will respond via email if I cannot. Some payments have already been executed by them and will continue to be.

Best of luck with the med interaction. I am also on immune suppressant drugs due to kidney transplant. Take care and pay attention to any reactions. 73, Mike

Apologies for lack of email response. I have been at the shop today and we have executed about a dozen payments and settlements, more are on the list to be done tomorrow and Saturday. I've been here almost all day today and it's hard to do a full day yet. Definitely working on it. Oh and if anyone is watching our facebook page, the warehouse manager has been posting to it recently and will continue to show everyone what we happen to be working on from time to time.
