We are adding more to the buy lists, plus we have fleshed out our battery buying. We are also creating scrap pricing.
Perhaps I'm an imbecile, but I can't find any of your prices for laptop batteries, am I not looking at the spreadsheets correctly?
I have a plethora of laptops, but the hard drives were all pulled before I got them, and many of them don't have RAM. What are the oldest Laptops that you are looking for? So I can narrow down my pile before I try to make a list, haha.
I'm not too far from you, I might have a load of goodies to bring your way in the near future.
We are currently looking for Dell E6400/E6500 and E6410/E6510 Laptop batteries as well as batteries made on or after 2013 if they have a date code. Willing to pay $2.00 a lb for these, more for larger quantities. As yet these are the only batteries I know contain samsung 26C and 26E cells which is what I am looking for. If you are willing to ship me just the cells I will pay $4.00/lb.
GOOD NEWS!!! Today we start our "vintage" cpu market. A list of collectibles will be up at the top by the end of the day and ALSO located in the cpu buy sheet. Collectors in this market are few and far between however we have marked several not-that-old cpus that most of you probably throw away without even GLANCING at it.
Still looking for lithium ion cells. Prices have been updated but the forum seems to be having problems updating text to my posts. Feel free to text or call if you have questions about prices. I do buy many things not listed.
Sold some RAM, boards, CPU's, laptops and batteries to TJ today. He's great to work with and has competitive prices. I highly recommend him!
It was a pleasure! Until next time!
Tj is awesome to deal with. Sent him a load from Montana and he was fast, fair and cut a check on the spot. I think Ive found my new buyer. Thanks Tj!
Thanks for the review! It's always my pleasure to serve the recycling community.
Three updates.
1. Prices are updated, across all lists (this takes a long time for me to do these days lol)
2. I am looking for wire by the gaylord. I can arrange shipping, I do not want to buy baled wire, sorry. (It's been asked and I have a hard time processing baled wire down). I am also still looking for titanium.
3. I officially resume regular scheduling next week and then in the second week of June I will be out of the office for a week for personal reasons (I need a vacation).
I just finished reading the other thread you have active. I apologize for bombarding you with questions these past couple of days, I had not read the other thread. Please take care of what you need to take care of first (your family), and I will contact you next week. I have a box ready to ship to you.
Thank you for understanding, I appreciate both your business and your kindness in understanding.
I know you are handling personal matters, so no rush. I was reading through your list of intel processors. I have a few xeon processors of different sockets. Are the prices for functional and nonfunctional cpu? Thanks
nonfunctional cpus are considered scrap.
I like to update my customers on business trends and to give an insight into our process. I'm announcing now that we are doing in house refining of gold and tinned memory. I will toll out LARGE lots (more than 500lbs). Keep in mind that many of the highest available prices are not reflective of the recoverable PMs. My buy price is VERY close to target already.
Second, we are SERIOUS buyers of all things copper wire. We are in the process of ramping up a facility for wire processing and are staging large buys for this purpose when the machine is assembled and ready for production. On computer wire you will find there isn't much wiggle room, I am accepting that when buying computer wire it is with all ends still attached and the wire is also tinned or shielded.
Third, we have new hires in the process of training right now. You may notice an increased capacity and speed of turn around for your material. It has been the next logical step to increase intake capacity and we are making that move now. We are putting together a national team for IT asset liquidation and wire removal. The plan has been to take the show on the road and now we are. We have one summer project already lined up in addition to a few east coast projects for buildings with scheduled demolition. (After all we do have the feed the machine and pay for it).
Lastly, with all the activity in the consumer processor market as well as 3 new processor generations in less than two years the i series market is quickly coming down. Much the same as the core 2 market came down. The plan here is to try to wait before reducing prices until the last possible moments. In addition you may have noticed the steady expansion of our buy lists. Our hard drive services will soon include a certificate of data destruction upon request, particularly for valuable larger storage drives.
P.S. We will be ISO environmental certified this year, in addition we carry on site pollution insurance nationwide and our people are currently undergoing asbestos exposure and mitigation training so we can work inside buildings with loose asbestos to do wire and e waste removals. Lastly, we are in the planning, operating procedures and assessment phase of R2 with expectations of having an audit done for the certification sometime this winter. We also want to clarify with everyone that no we do not send material overseas without the express knowledge it is for REUSE only. Furthermore we do not do business with exporters or second tier handlers whom do export e waste. It has been asked if we do several times due to some recent news articles and in my home state a neighboring business getting caught exporting waste while claiming to be R2 (which was expired anyways, they failed an audit). My personal message is as follows "I started this business with the idea that we would do the impossible and make it marketable to operate in the US with US labor and US derived material ONLY. So far I've exceeded expectations by saving material from export through other companies."
Oh and happy summer to everyone, all material prices are current.
I had the pleasure of meeting TJ and his crew today and wanted to be sure to leave feedback on my experience.
I've been dealing with ewaste for about a year and a half now. And in that time I've mainly been shipping fedex to another buyer on this forum as there's no reasonably paying yard anywhere near me that I know of that deals with boards or other ewaste items. And while I have no general complaints with them, I do lose 35 cents per lb in shipping. I could knock that down considerably by switching to freight. But with my current volume and variety of scrap, it would be more hassle than I care to deal with. In that year and a half I've accumulated much material that wouldn't be worth shipping either method.
A month ago my wife and I had our second child, and thanks to scrap, I've been able to take 5 weeks off my full time without touching my vacation days. I decided to do a full purge of my stash while I had the time off to do so. So I spent the last week doing a final sort and gathering of pretty much everything I had that can't go to my general metal yard. TJ was very helpful, responsive, and timely getting back to me on every question I had as I'm just barely learning to grade all my boards. I did my best to sort everything out to his standards. I loaded up almost 2000lbs of material ranging from low grade boards, to monitors, to telecom and everything inbetween and took the 2 hour ride to his shop.
Upon arrival I was warmly welcomed. I pulled around to the receiving dock and proceeded to help the crew get my material inside. TJ personally oversaw the sorting and grading of my material, showing me what to do better/different for next time. Showing the same patience I experienced during our pre-drop off correspondence.
Overall, for the amount and variety material I brought in, it was processed in a timely manner. I had 27 different categories, some of which he resorted 100 percent to give me the best price. And some (due to my experience level) were in separate boxes that had to be combined later. Or were outright mixed up. (Sorry TJ) And he had to receive a large shipment halfway through. From the time I arrived to the time I left was about 2 hours. Which may seem like much but considering how much he sorted for me, it isn't.
At the end of the day, I was overall pleased with the entire transaction from start to finish. And for the first time in my 7 year scrapping career got a 4 digit paycheck. Which is always a nice bonus. I will definitely be doing business with TJ again in the future and most likely be bringing him all my ewaste from here on out to save the hassle and cost of shipping.
Thanks again TJ and crew. I hope to see you all soon!
Your welcome, congrats on the baby and I look foward to seeing you again sooner than later.
Here is a review of my first transactions with armygreywolf.
First I want to say the absolute easiest and fastest way to get a hold of this man is through text message..
From day I shipped (a large box) to the day I received payment through paypal, the total transaction took about 3 weeks.
I shipped a good variety of reusable components, most untested. I am happy with the speed in which this transaction was done. On my end, I just whipped things out and packaged them for shipment. I could have packed the circuit boards better as I'm sure some were damaged in shipment. I sent motherboards with the cpu's and RAM still attached together. So although some of the some of the mobos were mucked up, the RAM and cpu's were not damaged in shipment and I was paid a fair price for them.
I did not take the time to test most things and for this reason I had a range of what I was expecting to get paid. And what I was paid was close to the middle of that range. I was sent a detailed list of payment for each item. Some of the items I was paid a little more than I expected, some of them a little less than I expected.
Overall, I am satisfied with this transaction and with armygreywolf. I will be using his service again and will recommend others to send your items to him.
edit* - If you are expecting one certain price for your goods, confirm the price with him first. (I think this is stated in the top of this tread)
I believe the package was handled by former Pittsburg Steelers linebackers to be honest. FedEx was not kind to the package what so ever with protruding boards and barring a pallet shipment I'm not sure it could be done better. I apologize for the time taken, we are a bit overwhelmed from recent events and some of that was my unpreparedness about what to do with the personal aspect. Anyways, it was about a week beyone typical for a motherboard inclusive shipment, we tried to make the best of it and managed to save what we could lol! If you don't mind nutpie I'm going to post a picture of how your package arrived? It is rather comical that you shipped a box and I got essentially a cardboard ball. On that note I let fedex know how displeased I was.
I did however not add the shipping I paid to your settlement, it wasn't fair to you how badly the package was treated.

This is what FedEx does when you label your package "Fragile" it's like a challenge to treat it as badly as possible, this picture is UNOPENED, it looks like it had broke open and exposed the contents somewhat. I for one am very glad he shipped everything in motherboards because it would have otherwise have been lost entirely.
In my original review I forgot to add Army sent me a prepaid shipping label at my request. After reading the last post in this thread I would like to add a big THANK YOU for helping me with the shipping charges. If you covered the entire shipping Thank You very much! Please let me note - I wrote "Fragil" on the box, not Fragile - (It was a busy day, the day I dropped off the box for shipping). I did add a lot of padding on all six sides of the box.
I thought you were pretty quick with all the testing that had to be done. I am very happy with the price, I try to write an honest review and include all details of the transaction.
I want to explain what my range of price was (because I had not tested the majority). In other words, what I expected to get paid for this shipment.
At the top of the range - Nearly every piece of RAM, CPU and, circuit board worked, which I added up the totals on his buyers list.
At the bottom of my range - Some of the items worked, but most did not, paid scrap price for most. If the payout was any less than the bottom of my range I would not have even bothered to leave a review.
The payout was right in the middle of my range, and I was very happy with that.
It is hard to send one's goods to someone for the first time and have 100% faith in them. I belive armygreywolf was more than fair with me and my pay-out was excellent.
I will definitely be using your service again and I would recommend others to use your service.
Another smooth transaction with TJ. Thanks again , more coming your way ! shazaam !
Small update, there was a delay in package processing. I'm mostly out of the shop these days on a larger project. I had some employee issues that resulted in termination. 2-3 hour lunchbreaks will do that. Anyways, I will be at the shop 3 days instead of 1 right now. I will be working the weekend to get up to date for those who still have inbounds on our shelves (not that many right now, less than half what it was this morning). Also, AMD price update after 18 months of steady prices the new cpu market has finally shrunk the amd resale market. There will be a shrinkage of ddr2 in the very near future. If you have ddr2 you will want to get it out before the end of august for sure I will be adjusting prices at the end of the month on older ram. 1gb ddr2 will likely end as resale before october.
TWO THINGS!!!
First, photobucket sucks, so any hosted pics from previous posts are now blocked.
Second, and this is the big news, we are winding down phase 1 of a large project which means as of mid-week next week we will once again be back to 2-3 day turnarounds. I have to remind people that if you send ALOT of material it should be obvious it will not physically test out within those time constraints. Single boxes of standard material (that being cpus and ram) should have a 48 hour or less turn around time from date of arrival at our door. To expedite this as fast as possible, we require an inventory, a cohesive packing of some kind (organization!). Also, of course, a payment method, a contact method and a well secured box. Payments are made on Tuesdays and Fridays for checks and M-F for paypal. Paypal will be pushed usually same day of settlement summary unless an adjustment is necessary (such as the addition of scrap).
Also some new procedures. We are no longer doing box receipt confirmations so KEEP YOUR TRACKING AND WATCH IT! We are reinstating email labels, but you need to provide dimensions and weight, We will ship FedEx or USPS and bill to your settlement summary. Insurance is up to you, we do not insure inbounds unless you request it. If you can't lose the value, insure it. All inbounds have pictures available for package arrival and contents conditions. Any obvious damage to either we stop our process and contact you first.
I have to bring this up over and over, all packages are handled in the order they are received. Packages without inventories or contact information attached are left unprocessed until we are contacted so PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU INCLUDE THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTS!!!
Hard Drives, Graphics Cards and Motherboards (as well as whole systems and non traditional parts) will have additional lead time simply because it takes longer to process them through our equipment.
We are also developing a co-location facility of which I will update the forum on at a later date. With copper and gold up, I will also adjust prices tomorrow.
Oh and one more BIG thing for everyone. I've been developing our own bios and memtest distro for our test rigs for years now. It turns a standard $40 motherboard into a precision test rig, more accurate than most multi thousand dollar testers. I have successfully converted our server rigs to reduce lead time. At the same time we have built two 24 bay hard drive wiping rigs as well as our original 18 bay further decreasing hard drive turn around time. We are also fully DDR4 capable in desktop, server and laptop variants. We can test UP TO 64GB ram modules. I will have a few pics up of our progress next week.
most of what we do is not so much "labor intensive" as it is machine intensive. I only have so much space and we already dedicate a server rack and two full size 4x8 foot custom built tables to memory. Our cpu rigs take up 16 feet of shelving space and our area for motherboards and graphics cards is now 30 feet worth of pallet racks. It has been a trial to streamline the processing and now we have it down to a science.
I just wanted to say we had an excellent transaction with AGW, this past week. It all went better than expected. I sent some stuff which was very questionable and was pleasantly surprised (though I should have put the pump in a plastic bag-a note to all you noobs like myself). Five out of four stars!
what are you paying for tested 2g 4g and 8g memory sticks?
Thanks jimicrk. Yes the links provided at the top are current prices. Beware that DDR2 is falling off very very fast. I will be ending 1gb ddr2 within the month.
Excuse the mess today, I am updating all of the google sheets for scrap and parts so the prices are cohesive.
Updates for incoming hard drives. We are switching to a serialized adaptec secure erase software using a dedicated storage array for the job. We will NOT be using dban in the future. This process has been both approved for nist and is hippa compliant. We made this change at the request of our insurance provider. It also includes a two method controlled access to the equipment and 24 hour surveillance of the same. The server cabinet we have installed the system in has it's own alarm and is bolted to the floor. Likewise the system is OFF network, it is not accessible from the outside or internal networks. Drives awaiting destruction will now have their own secure secondary storage as well.
Lastly for today, DDR2 2gb memory prices have gone down. Sales have been nonexistant and we are probably going to close down 1gb ddr2 in a few weeks.
More news. We are standing up a second warehouse in Oklahoma City. It will be a small receiving facility with some resale testing functionality (ram, cpus, some graphics cards etc). We have chosen this location to centralize ourselves within driving distance of many forum members and businesses in that area. At present I am preparing to take Germantown located equipment to the new site sometime at the end of the month. I will be spending 1-2 weeks in the area and can provide purchasing services for anyone who would like to sell their boards, general e-waste or send resale material to this new site. The new site will be BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. They will have both pickup in the area and drop off functionality as I already stated. Smaller lots can be sorted and paid on site larger lots will have payment paypal'd or paper check mailed to you. Please keep in mind this is a feeder facility so if you send large amounts of unsorted material it will take more than a day or two to settle the sort. All prices on the forum posts are up to date, google sheets prices for resale are also up to date, google sheets scrap prices will be updated between now and Friday, call or email for more information if you have questions.
When mailing scrap, you may be given a different than usual address depending on workload at each facility. LTL shipped scrap will go to the cheapest location to ship based on commodity prices. Full Truckloads will continue to come to the Wisconsin facility for now.
Thanks everyone and have a great week.
Sent two separate Priority Mail Medium Flate Rate Boxes to TJ recently and, even with shipping shenanigans at the Milwaukee post office and his trip out of town still had a good turnaround time. The boxes contained CPUs, RAM (including lots as more than scrap value) and hard drive boards and between the two boxes got just shy of $500. Great prices and quick, responsive service. Highly recommended!
Starting a project out east this month and part of next. We are back to friday through monday work schedules at the shop. All personnel myself included are out of state starting Tuesday.
Very nice hope its very profitable
1GB DDR2 has been retired, it is now scrap. If you already sent a box, don't worry, you made the cutoff. Ultimately we decided against further drop in price because the sticks per lb makes it more valuable as straight scrap.
Some news, I am traveling to Oklahoma City On Tuesday, thru Friday. I will be taking I80 to I355 and then I35 to OKC. If you live a reasonable distance or can meet me at a truck stop and have material that you want to sell (and save the shipping) AND it fits in my truck...I can help you out. either on my way down or back. Use my contact information to get ahold of me tomorrow or Monday. If you have a SIGNIFICANT load and really really want to sell it, I can and will bring my trailer but it must be truly significant, at least two gaylords of boards or higher value material.
I will be making this trip periodically for the rest of the year so if you miss out, don't worry I will be back.
This was my 2nd time working with TJ over the years. I mailed him 2 large boxes of hardware. He was honest and had great communication the entire time. TJ was a pleasure to work with, highly recommended.
Just sent my 5th box of RAM and CPU's to TJ. Always a pleasure to work with, good communication, honest and fast payment!
