For the capacitors
For the capacitors

I am not quite sure what you mean,

*What would the yellow tant caps be considered? And what prices? You don't have most of your pictures labeled so I don't know what is what.*
Scratch that!!! They are SMD tant caps.

Thank you for the pictures! So...any caps that look like these you want? Does that include new age caps or just older ones? Are there any look alikes you don't want?
We do not mind new or old -- If the capacitors look exactly like that then yes ---- The capacitors need to be of Tantalum Origin.
All of the capacitors that I have posted are Tantalum Capacitors. Tantalum Capacitors like those all look like Egg Drops, If the material looks circular then chances are they are not Tantalum.

If I hammer mill my tantalum capacitors to dust will u pay more per lb?
We do not suggest to Hamermill Tantalum Capacitors as these types of capacitors are an extremely flammable product and when shipping powder the material must be declared as Dangerous Goods.

Hey! just saw your ad on Forbes.com..... Nice job!
I love money. I love everything about it. I bought some pretty good stuff. Got me a $300 pair of socks. Got a fur sink. An electric dog polisher. A gasoline powered turtleneck sweater. And, of course, I bought some dumb stuff, too. –Steve Martin
How common are these on tv boards? I see some on occasion that look like they could be...
Also, do you need all of the leads nicely pulled out of the board or is a quick clipper job off the board ok as long as the main body is in good shape?
Since they are so small, hard to find, and expensive...
Unsolder them from the board and keep as much of the leg intact as possible.
I get the impression that one, or both, of the legs can be/is solid Tantalum.
Even if it isn't, depending on the sort of capactor I guess, it adds to the weight and the buyers aware of it anyway.
Tantalum caps is something I wish I'd known about earlyer. But since I don't know what I missed out on, its not so bad.
Its even more fun than finding Gold, which is pretty fun anyway....
Older electronics can have quite a harvest, same with servers, same with car electronics.
But you must know what to look for. The positive markings a giveaway, only Tantis have that, and the odd shape silver canisters in older stuff.
'paint drops' in car electronics. They are about the only thing to get from car electronics, weird that.
Actually people tend to mistakenly assume that the wires attached to the capacitor are Tantalum Wire but they are not - The legs (Wire Pins) on the capacitors are only Tantalum until they exit the capacitors and the legs are then either magnetic or nickel.
The actual wires on the capacitor do not weigh as much as people assume - sometimes as little as 1% -- It is usually better and easier to take off as much as possible until the full actual capacitor.
