No I don't have the time to sort through stuff like that.

Most of the time shaving boards is a wast of time.

I looked at your pdf about silver oxide batteries and kind of got confused. I thought that if they wern't marked lithium they were silver but I guess they are only certain model numbers? I got panasonic cr2032 and if they are marked lithium are they never silver or is it in terms of model numbers

The silver oxide batteries will not be litium.

The PDF is so you match the numbers to what you have. If its not on the PDF use google.

For the refining of silver contacts, does the silver contact have to be seperated from it's metal backing? If so, contacts that are pressed on, looks like a rivet on underside, use a hammer and chisel? I have seen mention of sweating them off for the contacts that appear to be soldered. How is this done? Lastly, today I dismantled a bunch of contactors. In this particular batch, looking at the backing metal/silver contact from the side, no seam can be seen where silver contact and metal backing come together. What's that all about?

I prefer for them to be removed from the buss bar. The riveted ones can be cutout with a large par of wire cutters. The seamless ones are probably tin coated. Heat them from the back slowly and remove them like normal.

Ok. I knew I had read where you said one leg would be magnetic. Just wasn't sure what it meant if both were. Do capicitors other than Tantalum have magnetic connectors? The few I've tried did not.

wow, I saw this in the recent posts and clicked to see what I could learn off of it. I am going to need to read Tantalum For Dummies about 4 times before I even try to read this thread again.

but I know the next board I pull, I will be taking a look, even tho i am swearing to myself right now I wont do it... I don't believe that lie for one second.
