How to get in touch with Andrew......

Yes this site does have an Administrator. It really it does. His name is Andrew and his last post was in October 2022. He came in and did a bit of housekeeping, screwed some peoples accounts up and disappeared. I think he accidentally sat on both hands and hasn't figured how to get them out.


For those who still care, you can open a support ticket, use the report button, send a PM or and email through the SMF. If enough people do ALL OF THESE, it might get Andrews attention.

Hey I have been deleting a lot of spam and banning spammers so if you notice things disappearing it is just me working on the back end. If anyone notices any spam post please report it so I can take care of it. Thank you everyone that reports for your help and patients while I clean things up.

I wonder, out of the 300+ views these threads have received, how many of you have tried to contact Andrew? I plan on bumping all of them in hopes of someone seeing them. Fell free to Report my threads also. If I get banned for spamming, it will be worth it if it gets someones attention. I will find my way back in......

Recently the gold refining forum was purchased by a conglomerate which owns many forums, I believe Andrew hangs onto this dead horse hoping he'll receive an offer. Nothing else makes sense

Heres my take for all of you that dont check in daily....

The forum was on auto pilot for years for ad revenue.... you could tell when the site went down for days, even weeks that noone was paying attention...... So eventually Admin came back and tried to clean up the site.... he deleted alot of spam but then realized hes wasting his time deleting over whelming spam posts cause no members are posting anything except for the bots.....

Be my best guess, when the next payment is due with the registry ( Registry Expiry Date: 2023-09 ) Andrew realizing bots do not generate ad revenue for him he"ll simply unsaddle from this dead horse and let the forum die.

I thought the same. i went over to the other site yesterday to see when the last time SMF crashed for a week+. It was around last Sept 28th.

Even if someone were to start a new scrap forum from scratch, speaking for myself joining would be pointless. Everything I knew about scrapping has been posted on this forum and repeating oneself on a new site would be ludicrous.

As for my most recent experience joining the repair thread was a waste of my time.

If you guys are looking for a new home, one that's actually well taken care of, I used to run forums (including a free forum host) for over a decade. I wouldn't mind setting something up and actually taking care of the place IF people were willing to use it.

I have been trying to reach out to Andrew for a while now.

I attempted to make a post on the Buyers page and it informed me that I needed to purchase a membership. No problem, I gladly paid the fee.

The payment was accepted and the funds withdrawn and nothing. I still am unable to advertise boardsort.com prices in the buyer section. I have reached out, nothing. I do not want to contact the credit card company because I actually WANT to post on this site but it seems that I will be unable to.

Good luck.....I used to be a big proponent of the paid membership but it is basically useless now unless admin confirms/accepts your buyers thread and he is nowhere to be found..... hopefully he will step forward and approve any buyers threads that need to be posted.....the list of buyers is huge but I would say if you tried to contact those people you might be lucky to get in touch with 10 and that # is generous

Lost that bet with myself.

At least Andrew is taking care of business on the back end which begs the question why is he neglecting the forum.
