Most of these companies will not mess with electronic plastic. Very very low grade plastic.
When you say, "unmarked," you mean the lack of a resin code triangle, correct? On less commonly recycled plastics, there's usually a secondary set of characters which applies to industrial output, not what goes in the curbside collection. On the inside of a laptop or a vacuum, for example, there's usually a string of arrows, followed by "PP" or "ABS", for those specific resins, stamped on the inward face of the plastic. I believe recyclers can work with these markings though I haven't explored the topic, across the board. I expect most of us know about this but this seemed the correct thread to over-explain for newcomers.Quote:

Around here the only plastic they pay money for is water bottles less the cap. They currently pay 50 cents a pound. I never landfill any other plastics. They go in the recycle barrel the city picks up except plastic from appliances and TV's which goes to the scrap yard I sell to along with my shred steel.
