Nice little videos. On one video you mentioned looking up numbers on the chips to check their value. Where or how do you look up the chip to get that information?
All I do is type the number into Google. That usually gives information on the chips, and sometimes if some have sold recently.
For old chips, I look on Ebay ( and a few other sites ) to see if any have sold.
Also it is a good idea to look through a few web sites dealing with rare and valuable electronics parts ... rarest IC I have ever seen sold for over $800.
An example is a Reticon R5101 ... those go for $40 - $80 each
(( Also a good idea to look up board from very old computers - graphics cards, RAM moduals, and the like can be worth hundreds ))

2: Desoldering iron, solder wick, and a chip puller
In newer electronics, chances are you are not going to find valuable IC s, however in the older stuff the chances go up quite a bit. The most common ones I find are worth $1 to $5 each.
