Hey I'm in, even tho they will most likey raise the price to make up the lost.
I pay for the same gas - 8.66$ a gal.
:|
^Where sam is it that high?
8.66 a gallon where do you live 500 miles from the nearest station or what. I hope that was a typo because you just made me feel a 100 percent better about 3.99 a gallon and I was just b$#ching about gas being 3.61 on the other end of the my state.
Filled up @ $3.66 today. $123
Yeah same here it is about 3.57 a gallon. First time it is ok to live in Jersey.
I'm guessing he lives in England.
Canada maybe???
Canada is under 5 bucks a gallon.
im in lol
I'll guess Alaska
I leave in Israel.
We all pay that crazy prices... and no, it's not a typo, 8.66$ a gal.
Diesl is just tid bit lower...
4.22 in sacramento ca why are prices so high , why invade a country if your dont take the spoils. I say we kick a couple birds out of their nests and start some pipelines. In fact, I know the name of those birds I believe its called dinner
Am I right in thinking a US Gallon is about 3.8 litres which makes gas roughly a dollar a litre at the minute? In England we pay £1.40 a litre, which is about $2.20 a litre or $8.36 a US gallon, give or take a few cents. Diesel is more expensive still.
Without wanting to hijack the thread, if you had to pay UK fuel prices ($2.20 a gallon) how would this affect the dynamics of your scrapping? Would you still offer free collections? Or do regular trash night cruises/routes? How far would you drive for a single appliance?
(Assuming you do any of these things).
I believe UK pays more because they dont subsidize gas where US eats parts of the cost but that doesnt account for why it is still expensive at all
we pay 1.40 liter so 5.30 a gallon
The UK cost is nearly 70% taxes. The product costs most of the balance, with petrol retailers earning about 5p per litre sold.
in ns when u buy gas u pay tax on tax
Everything you buy in the U.S. you are paying tax on tax. Every step in the production of all products is taxed, raw materials, transportation, to the finished product.
4.15
3.69 northern Kansas
3.99
is anyone actually going to do this???
We ran out in the bulk tank last week. Best price I have seen for diesel is 4.09. I pait 4.14 today. I am going to take the small bulk tank we use on job sites and fill it up at the 4.09 and put it in the big bulk tank when i go by there. I called to get the big tank filled and delivered was going to be 4.30. it has already effected our pricing.
i'll try it, if gas went that high my scrapping/fishing/driving days would be over, the boat i work on burns 1000 gallons+/- a day.
If you think this will actualy work think again. If the average daily gas sold is $3 billion dollars and you go to the gas station the day before or the day after and make those 2 days $4.5 billion. Is not the 3 day average still $3 billion?
4.60 in Chicago
I miss the good old days when use to pay .95 a gallon, pop was a dollar and smokes were 2.30 a pack and I wasn't old !
Good point guys
3.75 here..I think this whole day is a scam endorsed by those who profit...what difference is a day...this has been around for years..there is nothing we as consumers can take advantage of..just a hoax..I'm more excited for its forefather ...Earthday...always been great for me
Whats Earth day
Average price for regular in Germany is 1.63 euro per liter today. 1 gallon is 3.64 liters. 3.64 x 1.63 = 5.93 euro. today`s exchange rate is 1 Euro = 1.33 dollars. 5.93 x 1.33 = 7.89 Dollars. per gallon.
Every thing else is proportionalty higher, including diesel. If germany could "Drill, baby Drill," they would.!!!
Yeah I mean come on Us kick the birds nest out of the way and drill baby drill
Someone told me there's a strike approaching in the UK by tanker drivers, who have to work long hours on a pittance (don't we all). So expect tailbacks outside each filling station and a £5 limit per vehicle. Good ole blighty!
Is that a hint Idaho
