Ive seen that a few months ago . mini crt tvs with built in vcrs seem to sell... giving me maybe another thing to add to the list
I also have some extremely high resolution CRT 22" monitors in storage........Think I might try one of those..........They weigh about 65lbs so Fed-Ex is only option on those
Yea alot of people will be willing to pay the shipping because these type of items are coming harder to come by .mike If you ever want to talk ebay im your man.
I cleared my inbox you could try again mike if you like.
Sorry! I still don't like 'em. But I like $$$$!
All good my dad actually hunted this down for me and I thought it was a joke until we started doing our research.........There are certain HIGH REZ CRT displays worth something as well as these TV's........The built in digital tuner is the value on this model...........Just tying to help and spread knowledge........I learned so much from this forum I try to give back........I doubt anyone from this site would actually bid on this item so its really not for advertisement just to share some of my finds as well as pass on things I have learned since I started this Adventure!!! Thanks and GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!!
I really don't know why people hate the CRTs so much. We have a CRT TV, and it does just fine.
At my office, I use a Princeton 17" CRT (Long story about the a bet, and me losing), and have grown used to it. I'm actually thinking of keeping it after my 30 days of punishment are up.
I'm still charging for these at collections, though. If I get one of these, eBay it is, though.
Thanks for the tip!
FedEx or UPS... UPS Ground you can go up to 70lbs, shop the prices, to some areas you can save a buck or two going with one or the other. Depends on where the winning bidder is located. Well at least for me, I have a merchant account at my disposal for both. But I'd still shop it.
There are a lot of memories (home movies) out there on VHS and just like the re-surge of LP's, people are wanting a way to use them again.
Vintage video game collectors are usually the ones looking for these. The gun type controllers(like the one used for duck hunt) only work on CRT monitors.
ya I still sell 13in tv/vcr cobos for $50 plus shipping $25 but maybe twice a month if good
Flat screen CRTs with a high refresh rate are prized by gamers. They have a much better resolution than modern day flat screens. I also know a guy that works with computer graphics who whined about the lower resolution that the flat screens have, so I would imagine the same CRTs might be sought out by those guys as well. But don't quote me on that one.
I would like to say thanks to all doubters and as DOPEN might say "HATERS"..........LMFAO.........Sold $197 Paid For and off to FED-EX in the morning
I am going to do a little more research on CRT's and what sells on EBAY.......It seems obviously NIB will sell but there must be others
Despite the major hate on here from a lot of folks over CRTs...there are way to profit off them without scrapping them. I sell quite a few of the working ones I get locally. I also use a tube at home, an as a matter of fact I got the Godfather playing in the background right now on the little tube/vcr combo that's in my office.
Some people may like going out an replacing all their tv's when the next new thing comes out...me, I keep using it till i can't. An my tv's are all free..LOL. On the computer monitors I can see what your saying about old school gamers, an gamers in general. Odd as it sounds when I fire up World of Warcraft on my CRT monitor it looks better then on the flatscreen. Weird I know but it does. I keep the CRT monitor as a backup for my flat screen. Being as I got about 12 flat screens, I'm good on backups for a bit. lol.
I don't sell mine on eBay, an please save me the tales of $$$$. Been there done that, got the hat an t shirt. :) Doesn't matter where or how you sell them, long as they get sold.
Good score Mike. If you haven't yet you should really look into TeraPeak. Will save you time on your research an has been a great tool for me in the past. Well worth the money per month. Lest I thought so back when eBay was my main form of income.
YMMV.

That's a combo DVD + VCR player that will most likely end up in a kids room playing Disney movies. Plus it looks new.
Gamers used to love 22" CRT screens because they were still square, had higher resolution then LCDs, better picture, and no screen refresh issues. These days with 4K displays and gaming shifting to widescreen native plus super fast response times only vintage gamers bother with them. Plus LCDs are cheap as hell these days. Last year I purchased a new LED backlit DELL 24" 1920x1080 monitor for $120 shipped. Cheaper then a SONY 17" CRT I paid $700+ for in the late 1990's even without inflation. For old gaming I use this Samsung 1280x1024 19" LCD purchased back when you could still find a new non widescreen LCD.
