The offseason for scrappin'... ;)
Here is my boy.
http://i1352.photobucket.com/albums/...ps34039668.jpg
Not a dog, but I recently saved a Crow from my chickens...
It was a baby and fell out of a tree. Funny thing is though that he seems to have an affinity for shiny objects, and seems extremely intelligent. He's already trying to talk and still just a little baby. He tends to collect shiny objects, and if I have any precious metals laying around, specially silver, he shows a very keen interest in them. Now if I can just train him not to hide the precious metals I have, but instead to go out into the world, find and bring back to me precious metals, I will have a real helper on my hands.
He does train pretty well, I'm really surprised how fast he learns and picks things up, so maybe...
Here's a couple of my other helpers.
Boudreaux: May he rest in peace.
http://img827.imageshack.us/img827/8749/img00168s.jpg
Dabbich: not at all a helper. Absolutely THE laziest dog ever born. But I love her like no other. She & Millie were chained in a yard with no access to water on a HOT summer day back in 2005. I was out in an area of town I don't frequent much when I saw them. I walked up & knocked on the door, and when the resident answered I told him point blank that I was taking his dogs since he clearly had no interest in caring for them properly, and if he had a problem with that then lets hash it out now like gentlemen or we can bring it to fisticuffs or we can call the law... up to him. I think he saw that I meant business so he kinda sheepishly said for me to go ahead. Both dogs were starved very near to death, both were heartworm positive, and my vet point-blank reccommended that I let her euthanize them since she pretty much thought they were too far gone to try & save. I refused, & here we are 7 years later, they're fat & happy.

Love it! When you look up the word "dog" in the dictionary, this should be the accompanying picture. That's exactly what a dog's dog oughta look like, and exactly what a dog's dog oughta be doing.
Hey Boss, I'm ready for work...

Winnie (Yellow lab) likes to ''bring'' you bowls and tools for scrapping. Most of the time you have to chase her down to get your item, she also brings you your missing shoes if you tell her ''get my shoe!'' Lol, can't scrap without shoes!
Mona (beagle) needs frisked before letting her in the house, she is good at picking up pieces of scrap and taking them in the house to finish eating. I'm constantly finding pieces all over the house because I swear, she picks them up so quickly you never see it happen! Lol!
Missy - (the Golden) ''killing'' the pillow could care less about taking the scrap in as long as you stop at the drive thru for a biscuit afterwards. Lol, she ''knows''- she cries and cries the whole way until you get to the drive thru.
Doobie (the mini pincher/boxer mix) - you have to put your beer cans up high when empty or he will eat them before you can put them in a bag to take to the yard. He will leave them so shreded its a wonder you never find his mouth tore up and blood all over the place. No can shredder needed here when you have a Doobie in your house!

Awesome pic's ya'll. Beautiful helpers everyone has, even if some don't help..(looking at you Cash!).
And NA...let me tell you about my pillow killer. Layla (avatar, so ya'll don't gotta scroll that far back) loves to demolish pillows, or the beds my wife makes for her. The beds will last bout 6 months then Layla will decide she needs a new one, an you come home an there is tons of stuffing all over the place! Drives my wife nuts, but I think she secretly likes it when it happens, cause she has an excuse to make them another bed, an buy more fabric.
Crazy dogs, but ya gotta love'm!

Oh yeah! Doggie scrappers. I have two...
Callie is a papillion and border collie mix (we imagine a very ambitious papillion), and then we have Bella... She is a brown dog.
They are quite a bit younger here, not long after we got Bella.

Bella playing in the mud. We had never seen her play like this and she rolled around like a little pig for about 45 mins.

Callie is way too refined to get her little princess paws wet.
lol..awesome pups there T.
Sirscrapalot - Likes to think he's in charge of the dogs, they know otherwise.
These two characters don't necessarily help but we love them. This is their "sit pretty" begging pose :)

I get a kick out of the expression; if you think you are important, try bossing around another mans dog.
Umm.... Shes not a dog but she trys to help. This is buddy. She is 4 years old and hangs out every night. (except winter time )Long story short, She was born in my garage and has been my buddy ever since. She is very tame for a wild animal and stays out of the garbage can. Scrapper with a Raccoon, yeah i know

Ive been wanting to post this for awhile.
Dear scrappers,
I have hacked t00ncys account to let you know my sister and I are being held captive. Conditions were tolerable until the plumbing emergency. This type of indifference to water conservation is inexcusable. Please send HELP immediately or the bathings will continue until such time as moral improves.!
Licks,
Bella

This is Bugo he is a lab / husky. Great partner...agrees with all my choices and never needs a leash! Got him at 7 weeks old.
The wife hates Bella being on the people cushions, but I am flattered that "my" cushion is more appealing than the cushion set aside for her.
