kz, those are a/c's right? I dont do much with freon, I have no way of getting rid of it
Yes they are. The HVAC guys took care of the Freon during removal so I didn't have to worry about it.Quote:

That customer was a result of picking up a dryer and leaving a couple of cards with someone who passed my card on to this HVAC guy. He would rather spend his time doing what he does best and so I pick up his stuff from his job sites. Having a numbers of years working construction definitely helps with jobs like this.
Love that pic Kz. Wished I could get some jobs like that ! Bet there was a pad load of aluminum copper in those beasts ! You break ac coil down and separate copper tubes from aluminum fins ?

Tater I just cut the steel ends off and turn them in Copper/Alum Rads.

After you cut off the ends do u then cut the copper loops off. I do but my yard told me if I didn't want to they would buy them at electric motor price..23 / lb. I haven't weighed them to compare. Do yall have an opinion?

The steel ends off of the copper aluminum radiators. Tater and kz where talkin about.

Cut down one side to get the lobes then down the other side as close to the steel as possible. Sell the steel strip with the copper rings in it for copper breakage or motor if they will let you...breakage will be less $$ then motor.

thanks!, a treadmill and some kind of stepper went in there. this load was free or I got paid to take it, good day in my book
a little stair stepper? I had one of those and figured it @ less than 50 cents scrap, so I put it up on Freecycle, alongside my occasional computer scrap wanted. I got more hits on that thing than I could count, and the one who got it also brought 3 computers along, hahaha. Sometimes it just pays to give something back ; )
it was in the trash so it ended up in my truck haha I think I was on my way to work too

i keep on telling her that people around the world are doing this as it is an honest living & you dont have to follow any bosses orders.
you are your own boss & you keep what you earn
it can be a dirty job, but you're right, no one is telling me what to do and if you know what you're doing there is money to be made
