I would like to ask for everyone's prayers

Got a call this morning that my Grandfather on my mom's side passed away today. I have been keeping busy all day so I wouldn't think to much on it. I will have plenty of time over the next few days.

My grandfather was the strongest man I know! He survived a lot in his lifetime, including the passing of his mother, his daughter (my mom), and son.

He will be deeply missed and forever loved!

Thanks everyone for the continued prayers. Been trying to keep myself busy and not let it get to me, but that attempt failed a few times today.

My wife, her little brother, and our youngest daughter will be leaving tomorrow around 12pm to make the 7 or so hour drive down to Wise, VA.

Our oldest daughter will be with her grandmother (wife's mom), since she has school on Monday, and we will not be back until Monday afternoon.

So I also ask that you pray for our safe travels to and from. I will be meeting both of my sisters down there, my uncle, cousin, and her family, and not sure who else.

I've always said that it's a bad reason for a family reunion. Hang tough George.
It takes time to heal, believe me I know.

Wanted to give everyone an update.

I first of all like to thank you all for your prayers, concerns, and well wishes.

Today, was, of course a very emotional day. My grandfather looked nothing at all as I had remembered him. Not because of the moriticians make up, but because in the last few months he was really, really sick and lost a lot of weight.

God looked after all of us, my uncle and his family, my 2 sisters and their family, and we all made it safe and sound.

We will be leaving tomorrow around 11am, from the hotel, going back to the cemetery to say our last good byes, locate our other grandfathers grave, and then head home. We estimate getting home tomorrow evening.

My uncle's wife is back at their home, in the nursing home. Found out she has 12% of her kidney functions, and other health related issues, and they don't think she will make it another 6 months, BUT she is a tough woman. She has been through a LOT in her life, and has always pulled through.

My uncle showed us a lot of old family pictures, of all of us, and our mom as a kid and teenager. I am going to be copying them all off his laptop and onto mine in the morning.

It has been awesome to see my uncle and his family. Cant really remember when the last time was. Just wish, it was under different circumstances.

My uncle said he will plan a trip to me and my sisters in a month or 2 and bring our aunt so she can see all of us and our kids.

Dont mean to make this so long.
