46 to 50 towers...shuuuzah!

Today was a good day. One of the contacts I've been working on the last couple months, finally bit and decided him an his boss wanted to get rid of 50 towers. His boss was going to just toss them, and my contact reminded him of me, and what I do. So now I got 46 to 50 towers coming my way this weekend. Said he was pretty sure they all have video, MB, HD, etc. Says likely just missing the ram sticks. I'm ok with this. Ha!

I'll be paying either 5 per or 6 per if they deliver. 6 is more then i like to spend, but I'll eat the $1 if it keeps my contact an his boss happy. I'd be ok for this to be regular deal. Their also going to toss some flat screens my way, no crts..lol. We had a good laugh over tubes and he assured me they got rid of all theirs a couple years back.

Sorry for the rambling, but sure you all understand. I'm just a tad excited. :D

New one! An yes indeedy, bulk is nice! Once i get them all I will get some pictures for you all so I can join the club in showing off a truckload of towers. Heh.

I'm just as excited over the flat screen monitors i have to be honest. Not sure if its cause I know they have goodies in them or the fact that if at lest 4 work I can make my giant monitor and drive my wife nuts. LOL.

Yep, gotta pay for the towers. Not sure on the monitors, its something i plan to discuss tomorrow when I talk with them. Me paying for the monitors will likely only be if they all work. The resale of those alone would have me back in the black quickly on this deal, depending on how many they have of course. Either way I look forward to hashing out such details with them tomorrow. :D

So my contact had the owner give me a call, and we just finished talking a few minutes before this post. They are bringing me the first loads tomorrow. Woohoo. /happydance It will also be a reoccurring deal. Not a one timer. :D

Now I have a question..What would be a good price to offer for the flat screens? They all work. Thats all the info I Have on them now, but will get more tomorrow including model and viewing size, etc. So if anyone has a general ball park idea..I'd appreciate your guesstimate. Heh.

So once again thanks again my fellow SMF folks without you I'd not have the knowledge or the smarts to obtain/process all this. :)

Glad to hear it is coming together, AND... will be on going!! You probably know the re-sale market, for your area, better than any of us. For me, 5-6 bucks is tops. I try to sell to a market where I am only getting 15-20. LOTS of competition around here. Good luck, fill the cooler, and celebrate!

If all the flat screens work I would go $3 each for 17 inch and smaller and $5 for anything bigger. Here in Denver you cant give away a 17 inch and you cant keep a 19 or bigger in stock.

Yet another...UPDATE with Pictures!

So Just got first two loads dropped off. They consisted of

The first pic only shows the first 28, another 7 of the flat black ones, and 8 of the silver were just dropped off along with two black towers. More coming this afternoon. Second was supposed to show the wireless but..it doesnt..;( The silver all have wireless cards.

Another 20 or so are coming later this afternoon. Also have 3 totes worth of Keyboards ( Pics of that coming to..) and a tote of mice. All the computers are Gateways, they all have EVERYTHING in them so far. Ram, HDs, CPUs, wirelesscards..etc. From just a quick glance all have wireless cards, and the 10 or so I cracked open to check insides all have ram, etc.

The flat black ones are Gateway E-Series 2500s if I recall the sticker right, I have the silver ones written down but its downstairs. Ya'll have to wait for another update. :p

Oh an they all worked at the time of being stored. So I imagine I'll be selling a couple units as working and the rest will be scrapped/ebay/parted out.

And the monitors are all 17 inch gateways with a couple of dells that are smaller/bigger give or take a inch or two. I offered 4 per. I figured worse case, I make my money back selling them to my guy at the pawnshop..lol. So all went well. I'm happy and the Owner is happy, and we're both excited for our new business arrangement.

I see the silver ones (around 3 g) selling on C.L. all the time bringing about $40-50 ea. The 17" should be about $25-40 ea.
