That looks to be a very nice motherboard :) Would love to use it lol
That don't even show the CPU heatsink. It mentions gold, but then, it also mentions "gold colors". Snazzy lookin either way.
Just remember though, as with any other mobo, it'll be outdated before you get it out of the box ; )
the heatsinks are anodized a gold color, the rest looks to be gold plated
I wonder why the transistors are gold plated?
I bet someone would be glad to give you motherboard pricing for that thing..:)
That is definitely a motherboard, but I would go with gold plating.
looks like brass to me haha
I was taking antennas off of wireless network cards today, and the elbow that holds it onto the board sure looked a lot like gold, but I was fairly certain it had to be brass
All I was talking about on that article, if you read it, was no real references to karats or anything like that, and one place it even mentioned gold color, as if it was only colored gold. Not sure what it's all made of, but they really weren't very specific, as they would be in a piece of jewelry or something, with a "solid! 24K Gold filled plate!" or something
Umm, outdated when You get it... thought it was out dated when it produced.
nice board, I'll stick with My ASUS boards, and hey guys btw.. if You like liquid cooling system, check out my facebook, and goto photos, this is another part of my bussiness.. Rock On.. nice board again.. have fun with it.
I think I have seen some that were flash plated gold over brass.Quote:

By using that macro lens we can see how cool the gold theme really is. https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/?ui...6b3d&zw&atsh=1

Up-to very small detail gold has been implemented whereever possible, I don't think that entry level motherboards have looked this good. Current pricing on newEgg for this board is just $126.99 USD.
if someone gave me one working i would just use it or save it for a lot later as with mobo's coming to there end at least with desktops these boards like this can be upgraded so that even in 6-10yrs they will be in demand so anything produced in these few years is worth saving if you can and everything that goes with them
Guys this is a lower end enthusiast board...all of that is anodized or powder coated the gold color....ie not real gold. There are a ton of boarda out there that have color schemes...the o e I have in my custom built machine I did was ref and black...in fact I matched most of my components and the cables to those colors. It is funny when I see aloy of buyers that say ALL colored boatds are cheap chinese crap....many of those are actually very high end boards with high end components in them. I guess I should look to see the amount of gokd tracings where I can call BS from some buyers as they can be a much better grade of board than many green boards.
I've got red boards from the 90s, made in USA, some of the highest of the high end machines of the day, made for and used by NASA

i still don't get it hahaha
Lol. I have a board similar to that in the gaming rig I'm typing on right now, its an Asus motherboard, its similar to it but not as much gold. Still has some golden/gold plated components on it. The board cost me about 150-175 bucks.
Went to pick up some Ebay purchases about ten years ago, the guy was totally into computering. Had a machine with a clear side panel and inside had all kinds of lights. Looked more like a carnival. I'm inclined to care more how it works than how it looks. Once just for fun I set up a motherboard out of the case with all the computer components laying all over the desk, but hooked up and running, took a photo and named it "New Build". Used it for my profile pic in a computer chat ; )
Bear - they make a "case" like that that is open with a huge fan...it is for people that test or change alot of stuff out. Yeas how it works is always better, but since I have always built my own since the 90's I know what is in mine and they are rock solid and are like godzilla whenIit vomed to performance ..so I decided I l8ked it to look cool too. :)
