i think you could buy alot of scrap yards with that, i dont think id quit my day job though id miss my coworkers/friends too much, the life of a millionaire just wouldnt work for me, id prolly put half of it in precious metals, give 40% out to charities/friends/family and keep the other 10% for myself (have to get a new house and some new toys)
500 million would buy out a lot of if not all of your competitors

As mechanic said a lot of tax money is generated from the sales and winnings of lottery tickets. All the winnings come from the tickets sold none of the money is coming out of local or federal pockets just those who purchase them. So before you go bashing on something or another country read up on the facts first.
