I updated my homemade forklift with a better frame and made it all electric.
The gas motor was removed and a 36v 2hp electric motor was installed.
The audio is low at times but you can look at the first video for better audio.

That's an interesting project. Did you start it because you had the material or because you wanted/needed a forklift? What is the motor from and what is your battery pack make of? Thanks for sharing an different way to recycle. One thing I have wondered if you could take your adverage riding mower and convert to an electric motor both from drive and power to the blades. I know that electric mowers are available I would prefer to make one myself. Any plans on building something like that? Mike.
Wow. That's pretty awesome. After seeing a little bit of homemade ingenuity like that, I'm surprised that some of the big manufacturers haven't made kits for converting lawn tractors and ATVs into mini-forklifts. You may be on to something.
the forklift was tested with a stack of 6 150lbs metal bars but i will keep it under 500lbs max.Quote:

I work for my dad and he owns a forklift repair company, and after seeing and operating many different forklifts ranging from a little 1.5 ton electric forklift to a 15 ton diesel powered diesel forklift, I have to say this is a pretty cool forklift you've got!
thats a sweet little setup man i may have to build something like that one of these days as it would be useful for lighter pallets that i get from time to time when it seems a waste to get out my fullsize forklift to unload 300-400 lb loads.
BTW i checked out your website, you have the engineering bug for sure, you got some very interesting projects.
