No image?
Hey Barry, if you're using photobucket, click on the photo in photobucket first to make it larger and take up the whole screen, and then copy the image link over onto here. That should help your image be easier to see...
Does anyone know what grade these boards are? They are from Motorola PageWritters 2000. Thanks.......
I would guess that if you removed the metal casing it would go for above motherboard grade...probably high grade
i would say at least motherboard grade
I just found this article. Now wondering if i should save the 500 complete pagers I have and not scrap. Think these will be worth anymore than scrap someday?

Still trying to get a $$$$ what these are worth? Thanks......
Big Tex, did you do something with these pagers yet?
If not, please PM me.
I'd imagine you would get at least cell phone board price but I'm not a buyer of them.
Hey Absolutecomm; what part of Florida are you in? Just trying to help you get a few more post so you can receive a PM.
He could help build it up with an introduction; ;)
Introduce yourself
That's a big 10-4
I still have all the pager boards, and then some......
I get pagers pretty regularly. A well known buyer on this board gives me cell board price for them.
hmm.. Enoch43, That may be a decent situation already then.
But I wonder what the time involved is with breaking down VS. selling them by pound as they sit, untouched/unopened?
How many must be broken down, before getting a pound of pager boards? (and how much plastic weight gets removed? 2/3rds plastic, I would guess)
Absolutecomm......what is ballpark for Motorola Advisor Gold and similar pagers? I have stripped hundreds of them. The supply is getting smaller, but I may have more soon.
The time involved is negligible....some pop open with a knife blade, some have a few torx screws. I do save some of the gold battery springs and antennas and sell those separately. If the shipping/payout was beneficial I would consider selling them whole. I have seen some buyers offer .50¢ lb for them, and that is certainly NOT a good deal.
I don't see why if you removed the battery a buyer wouldn't pay you cell phone price, seems like about the same ratio of plastic/glass to a cell phone.
ive also came into several pagers latley,i am very new to the escrap businius, but all the boards have noticable gold plating and are very thin with little population on them. i am not sure about all the grading yet but ive been putting them in there own box.im actually doing that with everything.figure i cant go wrong that way
Big Tex and I team up down here from time to time and surprisingly enough the best offer from buyers on the forum for these boards was about $3.65 a pound mixed. And that was BEFORE gold took a tumble. Although there were a few in the batch that qualified as memory grade. And NO buyers would pay cell phone price for them with batteries removed. I thought it strange myself especially since he was well over 40# of these boards loose not to mention boxes and boxes of whole pagers...
