The Scrap Metal Forum MOBILE app is free, won't cost you anything to use it.

Alternatively, just search for Scrap Metal Forum on your android in the marketplace and you'll see us there.

i searched for this android app a few days ago, not knowing about this thread. i was dissapointed when i couldnt find anything. i guess great minds think alike, i was just a few days too early!

i noticed the other day when i used smf on my phone the other day, it was showed up as a mobile site without the new posts button. i had to click view whole site button to get to the new posts button. might be me but that is how i use this site, click new posts and scroll through 1-2 pages.
the actual mobile application has the new posts as the homepage actually. you might like that more than the standard mobile theme.Quote:

I love and hate my blackberry at the same time. It's great for my business especially emails. But it's definitely not as fun as a Droid or I phone. But the real question is...... Which one is worth more as scrap?
Heh, I was just wondering what one was worth as scrap. Buddy has a broken Iphone he wants to pawn off on me, but not sure what to do with the sucker. Perhaps I need to do some more searching an see if I can find a thread on this.

Blackberry got broken and would be a week so I broke down and got a iPhone I'm typing on now sure do miss the blackberry predictive typing but this iPhone ain't too bad other than that, is there an iPhone app if so I missed the link to it. Any help would be appreciated
Unfortunately we don't have an Iphone app yet, but we will eventually. Hopefully sooner than later. I need to use a MAC to resign one of the files before it will be accepted by the itunes marketplace and all I have is a PC so once I find a solution to that we'll have one.Quote:

Not terribly important because I bookmarked the moble site on my phone. But sometimes I just like to look and see the most recent threads real quick and the app is good for that.

No, I didn't. I was being rather lazy at the time. But now it's there and working fine. I had my phone connected to my computer so I could upload my photos. I had left it connected so it would recharge, and somehow that temporarily screwed up the app on my phone. But like I said, everythings working fine now.
I also sometimes have a problem when logging in to this site on my computer. After typing in my username I go to hit "tab" to jump to the password field. Unfortunately I don't realize I also tapped the Caps Lock key until I get the window that says my login attempt failed. :)
Are we any closer to having the iPhone app??
